Hello All, I have something to say about the drivers out there who think either the road is thier's, or are just in all reality, DUMB DRIVERS!!! It's getting close to summer time and everybody's getting all excited about vacations, and pool parties, and all other kinds of summer activites. Well, you know what? Its okay to be safe on the road going to where ever you are going to. Don't be in such a rush! I will tell you, I was almost involved in 6 accidents in a span of 4 days and ALL of them were people NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO THE ROAD!!! Cell phone users, can it not wait till you get home or in a parking lot parked? People looking for something in your purse or breifcase, can it not wait till you get home or to your job... PARKED? People in general, are things more important than the road, other drivers, traffic lights, emergency vehicals, etc... to pay attention to the road? I can't help but roll my eyes about these people and try to go on my safe yet attempted merry way. If you don't want to pay attention to the road and other drivers, then your license should be revoked. Pay attention to the road or get off! Its not that difficult!

I don't see this getting any better. Most people do not take driving seriously enough.

Too many distractions are going on in cars. Some are driving 85MPH while talking on the cell phone. They are too busy multi tasking to drive.

Six perposcents in Four days? Try Six in two days or less. I am constantly avoiding these would be perpetrators attempting to wipe me out. These Yahoos out there are barely able to funcion enough to turn a key and then a steering wheel much less calculate the use of a turn signal.

It's not enough just to take their licence. I know of several right now that are driving without a license. I don't know all of the answers but I do know that the police focus more on collecting revenue that they do on actually doing something about the ones that create trouble for the rest of us on the road.

And I am not blaming the cops. It's all about politics controlling the situation.

Six near misses in 4 days? I drive almost 100 miles per day and I probably have only 1 near miss a month. But then again I don't drive in other's blind spots, go with the flow of traffic, don't allow others to sneak into my blind spot, and check my mirrors every few seconds.
If you're involved in that many near misses you either are far too paranoid (counting normal driving as a 'near miss') or you need to drive more proactively so you don't get to the point of a 'near miss'.

Kroten, you are not telling the truth. I have over a million miles logged and know perfectly how to drive. There is NO way to avoid these Yahoos enough to only have them come close to wiping you out only once a month. The ratio is more like once every fifty miles. Unless...

1) You are one of these Yahoos creating the problem.
2) Do not drive in high traffic conditions.
3) Do not drive during high traffic hours.

You are probably retired and venture out after 10:00 AM and are home before 3:00 PM.

Note: "Proactively" is just another term for being "Overly aggressive".

Kroten69/you must one of the near misses that she is talking about. You're the one that goes down the road talking on your pathetic cell cause you have a hot date that you are hiding from your wife of so many years. You are the one that has that flashy new car that you just have to show boat to everyone on the freeway. But you know friend your days are number like the rest of the reckless drivers out there that we as safe drivers have to share with. So be warn. There are those that their eyes on you. We will be watching you.

Hello All and welcome to my blog of "ABOUT ME". I am 24, 2 months shy of 25, am now married to a very respectable, hard working truck driver. I unfortunantly no longer work at THE MEN'S WEARHOUSE. I am working with my husband in a town called Hutchins, here in TX. If ya'll aren't familiar with that, its about 5 minutes out side the border of Ellis county, but is still in Dallas. About a good 30 minutes from Waxahachie. I am a "Terminal Clerk" at the truck termimal he drives for. It's more of a "glorified secretary's position". I left for more money and weekends off. I needed that time and money for the wedding. Take care all and KEEP ON TRUCKIN'! I AM NOW MRS. MARTINEZ!!! IT FEELS... different... BUT GREAT!!! YEAH!!!
