Although I always liked the traffic report with Chip and Todd I have to admit the new traffic person is a lot easier on the eyes.  Yes I am an old fogey.   My question is am I the only one who sees a strong resemblence between her and an actress from a while back.  Cannot call the actress's name but she would be pretty old now.  Any more old fogeys out there who can help me?

Finally an explaination.  While reading the story about drugs in our water I came to understand what is wrong with the drivers in Arlington.  They are drugged and too stupid to be allowed in anything with a motor.  It is also obvious that most of the people in Dallas and Fort Worth etc, stop in Arlington on a regular basis and fill up all their water bottles.  Where is MADD when we need them.

I had to say something about this before it left the news altogether.  A few days ago there was a lot of fuss about the astronauts drinking etc.  Someone else may have already said this but DUH.    Ain't no way they are getting me on one of those things sober.  And they would have to fight me drunk or hope I passed out.

Nuff said

I am 58 years old and I realize more every day about how little I know about some things.  One thing I guess I will never be smart enough to understand is the mind set of a person who tail gates.  I know most of the kids who do this are just too dumb but what about adults who should know better?  Is there no concept of the fact that if you are two feet behind a car goind forty to sixty miles per hour and that car has to stop quick you are going to be at the very least paying for car repairs?   I really feel people who tail gate should have to have a large flashing sign on their car saying "WARNING, I AM DUMBER THAN DIRT"

Of course the really bad one is when you look in the mirror and see a car about two feet from your bumper and you can tell it is a high schooler and they are on the cell, plus sending a text message, while eating a hamburger and trying to tune their I-Pod.   Man wouldn't I love to have to pay for their car repairs?   sheesh people.  Cool is one thing, stupid is not cool if you are 18 or 88

Let's say you go to the local bookstore.  You buy five books that look really good.  You take these books home and start reading them.  When you get to the end of the first one "Dark Angel" the last chapter is torn out.  So you start the next one, "Pretender", yep last chapter gone, same for "Invasion", "Surface" and "Jericho".   Do you go back to the book store and buy some more books hoping they will have an ending?  Or do you do like millions of people are doing and just not go there anymore?  Of course you know I am not talking about a book store but about TV shows.

And the networks (all of them) wonder why they are losing viewers?  Well

DUH

I was discussing the early start of the tropical storm/hurricane season with my wife this morning when she pointed out the obvious answer.  If you remember the daylight savings time was moved forward several weeks this year.  As a result the longer days caused the storms to think it was time to get to work.

I don't know why anyone else did not consider this?   Or maybe they did and I have just not seen the post yet.

I am just curious, this is not really about traffic but about cars.  I have over the years traded with different car dealers and all of them seem to have one thing in common.  They wait until a week after I get my oil changed then mail me some coupons for a reduced price oil change.  the coupons are always limited in time and always expire a long time before the next oil change is due.  Now I am old enough to know they probably plan it this way I was just curious about any one else's view point on this practice.   Seems pretty rotten to me.
