Ricky wants us all to donate to the victims of hurricane Ike.

I got a better ideal, why don't we send the money that it will take to re-build that uninsured mansion that burned down. Then he could move out of that  expensive rent house he is living in and get a modest 65,000 house to live in, like I have. It would just take a few lifestyle ajustments for him. I get so tired of us tax payers having to pay for everything while people like him live like kings, give me a break.

Has anyone been invited to Crawford for the the wedding? I hope the economic slow down doesn't cause any problems. I did hear that they would most likely be forced to purchase Pepperidge Farm frozen cakes for the reception.

I am glad that they did opt. out for a small wedding and not spend a huge amount durring these slower times. Some people might think it would be in poor taste to have a big wedding with the Country in the shape it is in.

Best wishes to the young couple, I can donate some Bush Beans if they need me to.     ;)

Does any one want to make a prediction on how high fuel prices will go?

I would like President Bush to explain to the American public, just why he can't stop this madness. He doesn't even care to give us one of those feel good speeches at this point.

At what point does the (Lame Duck) Bush / Chaney regime decide that they have enough oil money to set them up for life. These are happy times for people with oil or gas well royalties from the mineral rights that have passed down for generations. Believe me when I tell you that the Bush / Chaney famlies and friends have plenty to gain from the price of oil.

I personally don't see it stopping at 10.00 a gallon. Why should they stop now, the Oil Companies know the Bush family is on there side. Good old American greed is alive and well.

This administration has done more harm to our economy in the shortest amount of time that I can remember.

The sad thing about our future is this fact. Bush will actually look like a saint compared to what Obama will do to our nation.

God Bless America, we need it bad.......

Girl Says She Was Beaten for Anti-Illegal Immigration Sign Last Edited: Tuesday, 08 Apr 2008, 12:04 PM CDT Created: Tuesday, 08 Apr 2008, 10:58 AM CDT . SideBar

ATHENS, Texas  --  An East Texas girl who made an anti-illegal immigration sign as part of a U.S. history class assignment said she was beaten by other students.

Her sign read: "If you love our nation, stop illegal immigration."

The father of Melanie Bowers, 13, of Athens said he's keeping her out of classes until probably next week until the situation is resolved.

"She's upset, first and foremost, because she didn't feel like she had any reason to be attacked," J.R. Bowers told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "She loves going to school. We're having to keep her out because we're scared for her."

As a class project, students made "protest signs" about past and current issues.

Melanie Bowers took her sign to school March 31. J.R. Bowers said his eighth-grade daughter was attacked Friday in a hallway. She suffered scrapes and bruises and later sought medical attention.

Shera Bowers said her daughter's sign was torn up at school.

Police are reviewing security video from Athens Middle School.

Superintendent Fred Hayes said the investigation continues.

"I think that probably what we ought to look at is, if it's a current issue, we probably don't need a protest poster made on that issue," Hayes said.

Hummm....I bet this would be considered a hate crime if the roles were reversed. After all she is white girl and was attacked by hispanics that didn't like her legal protest assignment about illegal immigration that the school approved. What do the rest of you think?

Does anyone know if MyFox4 News Blog has an ignore button for certain bloggers that I choose not to recognize?

Some immature idiots (and the instigators know who they are) don't even deserve a response because they thrive on confrontation and I don't want to give them the pleasure.

This would be more useful than spell check.

I was just curious. Is the War still going on in Iraq? I never hear much on the News about the Real Hero’s in the world, our service men and women. I assume that our young Americans are still getting killed and wounded in the Middle East.

Please don’t forget about them giving there lives and limbs as we listen to the News about Tony Romo and his new 67 million dollar contract. I wish we could divide that money between all the families that have lost loved ones, or between the ones that have become disabled due to the wounds they received in the battle field. We Americans have some real messed up priorities.  We treat our convicts in prison better than we treat our Senior Citizens that are barely getting by. We allow entertainers, professional athletes, actors, etc. to be paid these ridiculous salaries just so we can be entertained.

Please remember who the Real Hero’s are. I say again, they are our Service Men and Women around the world who are fighting for our freedoms that we take for granted. They are our Firefighters, Medics, Police Officers, etc. Without them we could not enjoy football, baseball, and many other entertaining things that we American use to distract from the real world problems.

Say a prayer for the Real Hero’s before that next pro football game starts or before that next big box office movie that you sit down to watch. Think about it and never loose sight of what really matters in this world and the next time you meet one of our Real Hero’s give them a pat on the back and thank them. That will make them feel like 67 million; thank God they are not it for the money.

Still curious, how do the rest of you fellow bloggers feel about these messed up priorities in America? Let’s not forget about how much money that these political campaigns cost. It would be nice to divide that money up with the Senior Citizens.

To all you viewers out there in support of Mr. Walton:

This man was defending his life and property from burglars’ that had no right to be on his property. His property was locked up, had security cameras and a history of burglaries with many Police reports to prove it. I’m sure he feels bad about having to take a life and he doesn’t need an over zealous news reporter to remind him of it.

Everybody who watches the News is aware of how many property owners are victimize each year by crime, home invasion, burglary, robbery to name a few. The Prisons are over crowded and they are turning a lot of them loose each day and many criminals play the odds without getting caught at all. I think people are getting tired of being victimized. Maybe would be burglars’ will get the message that crime does not pay and they take a big risk when they decide to be one.

Please leave a reply on this post in support of Mr. Walton and our right to protect our lives and property.

I just wanted to be the first to say it.   ;)

What if that Frisco Bank Robber suspect had have been white, would they have been so quick to call the Police?

Lord forgive me for that, people are gonna think I'm an instigator now.

I know that didn't have a thing to do with the situation, right?

It is time for the Fox 4 viewers to give there opinions on American Idol. I want everyones honest opinions. I'm seriously curious.

Do you think American Idol has been over reported, over hyped, over promoted and needs to go away?

Do you think that most viewers would rather see more time devoted to news worthy events?

Do you think American Idol reporting belongs on Entertainment tonight and not on a News channel?

Better yet, Lets put it to a vote.

Should American Idol stay or should it go?

Can someone explain to me the real reason why gas prices go up and up with no end in sight? If price is used to curtail the consumption, then it is not working. I heard on the news today that fuel consumption and demand hasn't changed.

I would rather see them ration fuel and go down on price. It doesn't seem fair that the person with the Hummer and oil income, be able to use as much fuel as they want.

Seriously, I can handle the high prices much better if I could hear from at least 3 experts on the subject that could give me the same answer as to why fuel has to be so high.

Time to blow off a little steam again with my top 10 list of things I'm tired of:

1.   High gas prices.

2.   High electric bills.

3.   Rich getting richer.

4.   Poor getting poorer.

5.   Fighting a war in Iraq, while we slowly give our country over to illegal immigrants.

6.   Having to pay high taxes, Insurance bills, medical bills while illegals get it free.

7.   Tired of being punished for being a law abiding citisen.

8.   Tired of car and truck commercials on TV.

9.   Tired of commercials being twice as loud as the program your watching.

10. Tired of Ameriacn Idol.

I feel much better now, stay tuned. Does anybody else out there need to vent?

STOP IT! FOX 4, You know how it upsets me when you bring up the TXU CEO's name. The same thing happens when you bring up EXXON / MOBILE' s CEO. You know I can't resist not making a comment.

I will try not to get on my SOAP BOX again. Does anybody out there feel the same way I do about these guys? I know I'm not following the Ten Commandments by letting this bother me, but even God wouldn't accept the kind of compensation that these guys do.

Enough said, I feel better now.

I just saw the news story about the burglar that died. He apparenlty was trapped in a vent as he made an attempt to burglarize a business. This is a sad out come to a bad decision.

I just want to warn any other would be burglars of how dangerous it is to break into a business or a home.  When you decide to be a burglar / criminal  you run the risk of  death or serious bodily injury.

Business or home owners have been known to exercise their right to defend themselves and their property. I do not like to see anyone lose their life. So please obey the law and not put yourself at risk of being a victim.

I think the Corporate Mega Gaint has milked the American Public for about all they can get away with. I think we the customers have finally figured them out. Now they want to sell out.

I would watch this bunch closely. I think They could make Enron look good before its all said and done. Those new TV ads about the new improved TXU have already made me feel bad about switching to another Company. NOT!

I personally  think that goverment regulation was a good thing for us when dealing with the electric companies. TXU just needed more regulations to keep them honest. They should have never been able to gouge the American Public  like they have done. I hope that CEO put back some retirement money. He will need it to keep up his lifestyle of the Rich and Famous.

Sad truth is, it wont be long before my new electric company will be doing the same to me. The old bait and switch is alive and well.

I have the solution for the tiny little time and temp icon at the bottom left of the screen. Just take and put the time and temp on top of the 4 and use the same size fonts as the FOX, then put fox on the bottom of the 4 with the same size fonts that the time and temp has now. Any other viewers with me on this?
