Yes they are the Hometown team. Yes, they have recently been bottom dwellers the past few or several years. I am wonderfully surprised to see them in first place. Okay, so it's only the second game so far into the season and that they are in a 3 way tie for first place, I got a different feel for them this year. They have been pretty fun to watch so far. They are swinging the bats with a lot of confidence, and you know how Baseball Players are when they see their team mates doing good. Only the season will tell if the entertainment will still be there.

I saw on the 6 o'clock broadcast today that talked about a company lawsuit against what is blogged by an Individual. Now, don't get me wrong. I tried to practice If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. This is however easier said than done. Sometime, peoples or things gets to be too much for your emotion that you just have to let it out. The company that is suing is saying that what has been said about them has damaged their credibility. Correct me If I am wrong but, isn't that protected under our Constitution. Freedom of speech. Whether what was said is right or wrong. The first Amendment rights guaranteed our freedom of speech. It is a touchy issue to where the line is drawn. Unless I'm putting other peoples' lives in jeopardy, I feel that as an American, I can say anything I want. The Constitution doesn't tell me I can't say anything I want. In fact, what I say is my right, that is guaranteed. I can't believe this even went to litigation. If the court rules in favor of the Plaintiff, then how dangerously close are we to loosing our freedom of speech. Whether it's a blog or not. Tell me what you think.

Dallas got back their revenge against the Avalanche on a back to back game winning the Sunday event 3-0. They have a tough game this Thursday against the Red Wings at Detroit. It is always a playoff atmosphere when these two teams play each other. The other team I especially pay close attention when they play Dallas is the Blackhawks. But, that's another time and another blog. The Red wings are 7 points ahead of the Stars currently. I say currently because the Red Wings are in a slide right now because the Red Wings are 4-5-1 in their last 10 games. Dallas Shut them out last time when they played here on National Television, and this game coming up should be that physical and that close again. While it may be Detroit's to loose the President's Cup, they are looking behind them and seeing Stars. Regardless of whomever gets the President's Cup, the Winner of the NHL should come out of the Western Conference, Especially between these two teams!!! Just look for whose Goalie is getting hot and staying hot towards and throughout the Playoffs.

Dallas is not the road warriors that they were last year. Up to date, they are now 4 games below five hundreds on the road with that overtime lost against the Kobe Lakers. They still don't have an answer for this guy. In case you didn't catch the game. Kobe scored almost half of the Lakers final score. This year is a tight race in the Western Conference. Every little game counts for positioning. If you have a 5 games losing streak, you might not make it in the Playoffs. I'm very confident that the Mavs will. However, If they want home court advantage, They have to win those games against sub five hundreds teams. Because this year, you're only going to win maybe half of your games against teams that are in contentions for the playoffs.

I haven't been excited about the Mavs for awhile now. Not since they went to the NBA Finals!!! I am thrilled they made this trade. So, It's a band aid for the future instead of surgery. One that will bring a Championship home. Jason Kidd is 35 years old and Dirk is not getting any younger. Their window of opportunity is getting really small. That will put a sense of urgency in their steps. Grant it they send away a good player in Devin Harris, but, but he is not a proven commodity in the NBA. I'll take Kidd at an older age than Devin Harris at a young age. Kidd has proven himself more than Devin has yet. I know he's older, but, look at HOW OLD clyde drexler is before he finally won his first and only title with the Houston Rockets. I welcome this change. Kidd is a great addition in a true point guard that looks to get his teammate more involved. With the way of style the Mavs play, It will make them even harder to defend. Ok, Kidd doesn't have a jump shot, but, isn't all those jump shots is what got the mavs in the kind of situation they are in now? Too many jump shots and not enough penetration. That's what Kidd is going to bring back to Dallas!!!

It is supposed to be a celebration of all the players that have earned it. Cowboys have a record 13 players going to the pro bowl. The Giants have 1. All these cream of the crop are to showcase their skills. Randy Moss and Tom Brady dropped out after that debacle in Arizona. I should be mad as a fan to enjoyed an All Star game and a player does that. I however don't even cared. The Pro Bowl generate less excitement than the pre season game. Players don't played their hearts out, but, rather are goofing off, trying to showoff. I think I'm going to be watching the x game instead that day. Dang, 7 more months until the first kicked off again. This is from your number 1 asian football reporter signing off!!!

Since bluestreak or whatever his name doesn't want ANYONE to post any comment on his blog. I am writing one to dispute him. First of all, I don't know what you have going on with wes welker that you want to crown him the best receiver that has ever played. Is this what consolation prize in the super bowl is? Ed McCafferty was one bad white boy. He was very physical. He also won two Super Bowl for Denver. Grant it that he was not as fast as wes welker. But, even with all that talent welker still couldn't even help get New England a Title. Pity, all that wasted talent. So much for him being the best receiver in the NFL!!!

While I am not taking anything anyway from the Giants for winning the Super Bowl. History of football has been set for the Manning brothers. They are only next of kin to win a Super Bowl back to back, and as sibling. They both accomplished something their dad Archie couldn't do in his pro career. Kharma has a way of working itself out. Not only did the Patriots lose their first game of the season they also lost their last game of the season. I have been telling you all along that cheaters never win. New England Cheatriots showed us that. How sweet it is! I would rather see another team go undefeated If that were to happen than a team filled with controversy and off field issue. I am even more proud to be a Cowboys fan. I can say Americas' Team beat the Super Bowl Champion not once, but twice in one season. No other teams can say that!!! In conclusion, This brings a total of 10 Super Bowl titles to the power house known as the NFC East.

OK!!! It can be ribs, pork shoulder, or wings!!! Whatever your heart and stomach desire. It will definitely be one heck of a game. Leave your emotions outside the door and enjoy these two teams as they fight to bring that Lombardi Trophy home. Enjoy one of the great past time for what it is. Unless you're a fan of these either team and are lucky enough to still be rooting on your team!!! As a fan of Football I want to see a better game than I do a better commercial. Not that I wouldn't mind watching a commercial with Jessica Simpson in a two piece. I wonder what would happened with this game If they showed her. So America, like the words from one of the best receiver ever to played in the game. "GET YOUR POPCORN READY"!!!...AND ENJOY THE SHOW.

Okay, so I am not a fan of either teams. One kept America's beloved team in the form of the Dallas Cowboys from advancing from second round to the NFC Championship game, not to mention that they broke Brett Favre's heart in front of his wife and fans. Maybe he should have kept her home? I'll give you that he threw a pass when he should not have, but, If no Giants player was there in the right position then the ball would not have been intercepted. Then you have the other team in New England. Their season had been clouded by a season of every team suspecting them of cheating on them. Then you got the story with Randy Moss off field situation. Let's be fair, while they were caught cheating against the Jets. It doesn't necessary mean they did it on everybody. At least not this year. While I could care less really who will win the Super Bowl. I will watch the last meaningful game of the season. Not because of those great commercial that companies dished out tens of millions for. Eventhough, that could be a reason to watch the Super Bowl. While the Giants were the only 2nd team to beat Green Bay at Lambeau field in the Playoffs since The Days of the Super Bowl, it will be a challenging task for them. Watching New England towards the end of the regular season, I got the sense that they were teasing other teams and playing just enough to win the game. I think you will see them use every playbook in their arsenal to beat the Giants. If that's not enough, then they will break out the Jets playbooks. Not really!!! I would like to see a perfect season once in my lifetime. Controversy or not, it's something that we will not forget. While I am still a Cowboys fan. In the spirit of football, I would like to see New England win it and have their perfect season!!!

If you won the Super Bowl you have a short Spring season. You have alot of your coaching staff getting calls to be a head coach for other teams that didn't fair so well. Your players go to Hawaii and test their skill against the best the league has to offer. Some of your players leave for bigger contract, and you have to reload. Other teams and their fans hate on you and now you got a big target on your back. These are the things that a team that has won the Super Bowl goes through for reaching that platform. It is why it's so hard to repeat. That's why there is only 6 teams in the league that has repeated as a Champion.
If you didn't make it to that promise land. Things are worse. Changes comes like a Super Bowl winner, but, for the wrong reason. Teams don't respect you because they take you out of the playoffs. They call your assistant coaches and lure them away saying that you're team is not on the right path, for the same amount of money. Players leave because they don't have much confident in the team. Your very personal life gets scrutinized and magnify. You're practically walking on egg shells. Your owner starts to second guess you. Assistant coaches and players that stayed, might start to doubt you as well. Unless, you start off fast for the new season. There is going to be turmoil. Just ask that coach from Atlanta that left. Some fans, want you gone yesterday, and now they're telling you I told you so. Fair weather fans jump off your band wagon and into a Super Bowl winner. What else could happen?
Is there going to be changes with my beloved Cowboys? Oh, yes!!! To the extent and the severity of it, only the Good Lord knows.... When teams that win the Super Bowl, there are changes that comes with it. When a team doesn't make it, bigger and even more drastic changes come with it.....With a owner that is much of a drama as the team that he own, nothing would surprise me!!!

The Giants came in and prevented my beloved Cowboys from setting a first since the merger. I knew it was going to be tough. I knew that they have to ride that wave of the emotional high the Giants had. For the first half they did!!! However, Football is a 60 minutes and 4 quarters game. You can put blame almost everywhere on this game. Almost a 100 yards in penalties and you expect to win a game? With the exception of Witten, almost every receiver dropped the ball like they got paid by a bookie!!! Now, that they let one get away, the trip to Mexico is looming large in alot of people's eyes. Fair or not, since Romo allowed his getaway to be the center of attention. I think there would be a riot if he brings her to any games next year!!! Or any girlfriend he might from now. This puts me in a bind. Root for the cheaters in New England to see a perfect season or root for the Team with a class act in Favre?
My heart and my moral tells me to root for a guy who is a class act. While I am not a fan of Green Bay. I will root for them because of favre. I want to see him maybe end his career with a ring and on top. Not very many person can say they did that.
I do not want to, but, I do have to give credit to the Giants for putting up a good fight. They played almost a penalty free game. They didn't back down and kept coming. who knows, it could be three upset in a row they would pull off if they win at Green Bay. Last time a team went to the Super Bowl as a wild card team was the Raiders. Should be a fun match next week. It could be San Diego and New York in the Super Bowl!!!

Now that we got the pretender out of the way by means of a Wild card game. Let the real teams start competing. With almost a victory over the Patriots, the Giants felt good to take out a Division winner from the south also known as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They will have an enjoyable flight back to New York and savor in their first playoff wins in 7 years, and Eli Mannings' 3rd tried. Since the AFL and NFL merger, there has not been one team to beat another same team 3 times in a season. You can say 3rd time might be the one for the Giants. Definitely history is on their side, and they definitely don't fear Dallas at Texas Stadium. Their record at Texas Stadium is 4-4 within the last 8 years. Fear not Cowboys fan. It wasn't until emmitt smith did it, not only once, but twice, that there has never been a team to go to the Super Bowl with the NFL leading rusher. Not only did emmitt and the Cowboys did it, they won the Super Bowl with the NFL Leading rusher. They also did it twice as a repeat Super Bowl Champion. Sorry, Bears fan, but, their Super Bowl win against New England in the mid 80's was with the NFC leading rusher in Walter Payton. Of course, these players were not even born when the NFL and AFL merge. As far as we know, I don't think they even feel that stat is relevant!!! It won't be an easy task for Dallas, but, even with Terrell Owens being out there less than 100 percent it will give Dallas an edge over New York. The Giants are going to be charged up and real confident at the start of the game, and Dallas has only scored in the First quarter 4 times out of the 16 game. They're going to have to ride that wave and get settle down in the game before they can start playing their style. This game will definitely be a nail biter, so don't trim them this week. If anybody can beat a single team 3 times in one season it will definitely be the Dallas Cowboys!!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!!! No, not that one, I am referring to the NFL playoffs. Like the old coach from New Orleans would say "PLAYOFF?". If your team didn't make it, then it's time to root for your second favorite team. For most of us it's within our states. For some others, it's next closest NFL team or your favorite Amreica's team the Dallas Cowboys!!! This is the time that some hot team gets a splash full of reality. While teams like the Redskins are hot going into the playoff, you have to look at team they play in December and if those game even meant anyting to those team they beaten. As a professional, you want to keep the integrity of the sports and go out to win. It's a fine line though. If you are already in the playoff and got one or more of your starter hurt, you won't be a head coach for very long, especially if that cause a different outcome towards the run to the Super Bowl!!! It's no guaranteed for my beloved Cowboys or any team as a matter of fact to get to the Super Bowl. I however, do love their odds. Starters will be back healthy and ready. Teams they will face in the NFC has not beaten them, other than the gift to the Redskins, which I like to playfully refer to them as pork rinds and drag queens, not that I have anything against any of these two things, just not a fan of it. Favre proved time after time he can not beat the Cowboys in Dallas!!! People said that he is due, I disagreed. I feel and believed that certain team has an individual's number. He might put up a good stat, but, Packers will still lose in the NFC Championship game at Dallas. That's not a prediction, just a statiscal fact, until it gets proven otherwise. As you read in my other blog, the two main reason I want to see them go undefeated in the regular season. If you haven't, then check out "SUB PARTRIOTS BOWL". while, they may have home field advantage, the other AFC teams have definitely taken notes and are licking their chops to send the cheaters home without their "NOTEPADS". In fun and never giving up on your team, I do like to wish your teams good luck especially if your team has to come up against America's Team, the DALLAS COWBOYS!!!

I like to see the Patriots go undefeated for two reason. One is that the average score they are scoring in the regular season might be a hinder to them if History has its way. No team has ever won the Super bowl averaging over 40 points a game in the regular season. Two, is that by going undefeated in the regular season it will put added pressure on them to win it all the way. They may not admit it, but, for them to go undefeated and then lose in the playoffs would overshadow the "perfect season". I never thought I would agree with others that the tougher road to the Super Bowl is through the AFC. If the seating in the AFC is what it is, then Jacksonville and Indianapolis would have a shot to knock off the Patriots. Jacksonville is on a hot streak and playing with a lot of confidence and I don't think any team wants them in the playoff. The Colts proved that they can beat the Patriots in the playoffs and win it all. Never underestimate the heart of a Champion.
