I want automobiles outlawed now! Every month more innocent people die from cars than guns kill in a year. Libs try to say that guns kill. Well cars kill thousands more than guns do. Pure logic will tell you that if guns have to be outlawed then auto's must be outlawed first. Case in point:
Driver Arrested for Ramming Students in Deep Ellum
Police have arrested a man who they said hit a group of college students with his car in Deep Ellum early Sunday. According to police reports, the accident happened at about 3 a.m. outside the Lizard Lounge in the 2400 block of Swiss Avenue.
Geronimo Chavez, 33, allegedly hit 21-year-old Ben Everson, 18-year-old Jonathon Munoz, 22-year-old Sebastian Furness and 20-year-old Dominic Furness with his car and then fled the scene.
Police said a witness followed Chavez and called police with a description of his vehicle. He was stopped at the George Bush Turnpike and arrested. Chavez now faces four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

For the last 8 years our enemies have seen us as a country that is NOT afraid to attack and/or kill them. Now, with our change, guess how they see us? Remember the words of our new VP, Obama will be tested in the first 6 months. I hope he doesn't want to sit down and have tea with them. If he does I'm afraid Al-Qaida will want Obama to serve it.
Al-Qaida No. 2 insults Obama in new audio message
By MAAMOUN YOUSSEF and LEE KEATH – 59 minutes ago
CAIRO,Egypt (AP) — Al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri insulted Barack Obama in the terror group's first reaction to his election, calling him a demeaning racial term implying that the president-elect is a black American who does the bidding of whites.
The message appeared chiefly aimed at persuading Muslims and Arabs that Obama does not represent a change in U.S. policies. Al-Zawahri said in the message, which appeared on militant Web sites Wednesday, that Obama is "the direct opposite of honorable black Americans" like Malcolm X, the 1960s African-American rights leader.
Al-Zawahri also called Obama — along with secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice — "house negroes."
Speaking in Arabic, al-Zawahri uses the term "abeed al-beit," which literally translates as "house slaves." But al-Qaida supplied English subtitles of his speech that included the translation as "house negroes."
The message also includes old footage of speeches by Malcolm X in which he explains the term, saying black slaves who worked in their white masters' house were more servile than those who worked in the fields. Malcolm X used the term to criticize black leaders he accused of not standing up to whites.
The 11-minute 23-second video features the audio message by al-Zawahri, who appears only in a still image, along with other images, including one of Obama wearing a Jewish skullcap as he meets with Jewish leaders. In his speech, al-Zawahri refers to a Nov. 5 U.S. airstrike attack in Afghanistan, meaning the video was made after that date.
Al-Zawahri said Obama's election has not changed American policies he said are aimed at oppressing Muslims and others.
"America has put on a new face, but its heart full of hate, mind drowning in greed, and spirit which spreads evil, murder, repression and despotism continue to be the same as always," the deputy of al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden said.
He said Obama's plan to shift troops to Afghanistan is doomed to failure, because Afghans will resist.
"Be aware that the dogs of Afghanistan have found the flesh of your soldiers to be delicious, so send thousands after thousands to them," he said.
Al-Zawahri did not threaten specific attacks, but warned Obama that he was "facing a Jihadi (holy war) awakening and renaissance which is shaking the pillars of the entire Islamic world; and this is the fact which you and your government and country refuse to recognize and pretend not to see."
He said Obama's victory showed Americans acknowledged that President George W. Bush's policies were a failure and that the result was an "admission of defeat in Iraq."
But Obama's professions of support for Israel during the election campaign "confirmed to the Ummah (Islamic world) that you have chosen a stance of hostility to Islam and Muslims," al-Zawahri said.

In the words of Karen Carpenter: "We've Only Just Begun......"
Pelosi supports new help for ailing US automakers
Democratic congressional leaders want Congress to work in a lameduck session on a financial bailout for the troubled U.S. auto industry, which is suffering under the weight of poor sales, tight credit and a sputtering economy.
For the rest on this BS go to:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/auto_bailout
So, because Americans buy Honda's, Toyota's, Kia's, and Nissan's instead of GM & Ford, Nancy feels the need for our taxes to bail out the American auto industry.
How about telling Japan that for every car they sale here they must buy an American car in return? Nope. She'd rather let us tax payers pay the way.
How about asking Americans to stay loyal to the Red, White, and Blue and buy American instead of foreign auto's? Nope. She'd rather let us tax payers pay the way.
Folks, we've got 4 more years of this. We've truely only just begun!

I heard this on the Bo and Jim show this morning. I hope no one takes offense to it because it's only meant in a light hearted way. Maybe now we can all laugh about the election and we can get on with our lives again. Enjoy!

Mr. Obama is already spinning his sales pitch. I've been in sales for 35 years and I can spot a phony sales pitch a mile away. Many need to wake up to this used car salesman. Just one week ago this salesman said he would raise the taxes on anyone who makes over $250,000 per year and that no one who made lower than that amount would be affected. Last night on his Info commercial, Mr. Obama informed us that he would raise taxes on anyone who makes over $200,000 a year. So what will the number be by the time he is elected? How many of us will end up being in his tax increase bracket?
If you haven't seen the "Recession Map" yet I highly recommend everyone look at it and study it real hard before you vote. Please note that Texas is a green state which means it is booming in these "hard" times. Texas is also a die hard Republican and conservative state. California, Nevada, New York, and so many more are red states which mean they are in full blown recession. This means these states are suffering high unemployment, their economies are struggling, and no one is hiring. Note that these states are die hard Democrats and very liberal. These people say they want a change. If that's the case then perhaps they should stop voting for Democrats. Wouldn't that be real change?
Thoughts?

68% of active military say yes to McCain while only 23% say Obama.
70% of retired military say yes to McCain and no to Obama.
These are the ones who fight so the rest of us can be free to talk about it. Hey Lost, it seems you're not standing with your fellow brothers.

Fox 4 News is reporting the truth that many of us bloggers have been saying for months. If you are for McCain then you are a racist. A vote against Obama means you are a racist.

A 7th grade girl wears a Palin T-shirt to school and she's called a racist. Simply for a pink t-shirt with Palin's name on it. The lefties want freedom of speech until it goes against them. In her own words:
"Some of the students were calling me racist because I was Caucasian," she said. "I wanted the Caucasian man to win. And I told them that’s not true. It’s my freedom of speech, it’s my opinion."
Thoughts, or is this a racist news story?

I don't know who these news people are calling for their polls. One thing I do know is none of them have ever called me. I think it is very clear who the press wants as our next President and I feel they are simply making the polls say what they want them to say. Wouldn't it be funny if McCain won by a landslide? Wouldn't that make the news polls look stupid?
That being said, I took a non-biased poll at work today. I went around and asked every person in our office who they would vote for if they were voting today. According to my latest poll.......
McCain wins by a landslide!

"Jay-Z is doing an encore for Barack Obama. The 38-year-old rapper, a vocal supporter of the Democratic presidential candidate, is performing Saturday at a free concert in Detroit to promote voter registration. It is being offered by Obama's campaign."
So why is Obama having Jay-Z doing this?
Is this the kind of music Obama listens to?
Is this the kind of music Obama supports?
What kind of voters is Obama trying to get?
Is this the direction Obama is wanting our country to go?
If so then is this the "Change" we can all look forward to?
Is this why his wife is now proud to be an American?
I wonder if Obama lets his little girls listen to this music?
Here are just a few of the songs that Jay-Z may perform. I highly recommend that you take a look at the lyrics of each of these before you post.
Note: These lyrics are NOT for the faint of heart. The lyrics are so bad that I can NOT post them here or they would be blocked out. I have attached a link with all the lyrics of each and every song. As always, your comments are welcome.

Former President Bill Clinton has some very interesting things to say about Sarah Palin. Perhaps this is why so many Hillary supporters still don't want to get on the Obama wagon.
by Associated Press Tuesday, September 23, 2008
NEW YORK — Former President Bill Clinton said Monday he understands why Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is popular in the American heartland: because people relate to her.
“I come from Arkansas, I get why she’s hot out there, why she’s doing well,” said Clinton, who supports the Democratic ticket headed by Barack Obama.
Speaking to reporters before his Clinton Global Initiative meeting, the former president described Palin’s appeal by adding, “People look at her, and they say, ‘All those kids. Something that happens in everybody’s family. I’m glad she loves her daughter and she’s not ashamed of her. Glad that girl’s going around with her boyfriend. Glad they’re going to get married.”‘
Clinton said voters would think, “I like that little Down syndrome kid. One of them lives down the street. They’re wonderful children. They’re wonderful people. And I like the idea that this guy does those long-distance races. Stayed in the race for 500 miles with a broken arm. My kind of guy.”
Palin, the governor of Alaska, became an overnight star when Republican presidential candidate John McCain tapped her for his running mate. Her family, including her Down syndrome baby, Trig, her pregnant 17-year-old daughter, Bristol, and her husband, Todd, four-time winner of the 2,000-mile Iron Dog snowmobile race, have garnered intense media interest.
“I get this,” Clinton said. “My view is … why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don’t we like them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and we disagree with them?”
The global initiative, a project of Clinton’s foundation, will hold its four-day annual meeting in Manhattan starting Tuesday.
After that, Clinton said he will be busy campaigning for Obama.

When America hears this cry from other countries America helps. We give aid, money, food, and medicine in a split second. But..... when America needs help, where is this same help from these same countries?
Just a week ago a small hurricane hit Louisiana. Texan's stood up and offered help to anyone who needed help. We gave them free shelter, free food, and free drink only to hear them whine, cry, and b!tch about how little we offered them..... for free.
Now Texas has a HUGE hurrican headed our way. Have I missed something? I don't think I've seen any news reports of anyone from Louisiana offering us free lodging, free food, and free drink.
I guess it just goes to prove that the best Americans come from Texas!!

High gas prices drive down traffic fatalities WASHINGTON - Roll back the clock to 1961: John F. Kennedy was inaugurated president. The Peace Corps was founded. The Dow Jones industrials hit 734. Gasoline reached 31 cents a gallon.
And the number of people killed in U.S. traffic accidents that year topped 36,200.
This year, gasoline climbed over $4 a gallon, and the traffic death toll — according to one study — appears headed to the lowest levels since Kennedy moved into the White House.
The number is being pulled down by a change in Americans' driving habits, which is fueled largely by record high gasoline prices, according to the Transportation Research Institute at the University of Michigan.
The institute's study — which covers 12 months ending in April — found that as gas prices rose, driving and fatalities declined.

What are your thoughts? Are people driving better and safer where you drive?

Girl in Fatal Wreck Sent Text Message Moments Before Crash
Sunday, August 17, 2008
HIGHLAND, Calif. — Authorities say a 16-year-old girl who died after losing control of her car had been texting on her cell phone moments before the accident.
Kayla Preuss, of Highland, was driving on the Interstate 10 Freeway in Redlands when she lost control of her car and crashed. She died of head injuries.
Authorities say Preuss had been driving drunk and was speeding. But another factor may have contributed to the crash.
Phone records show Preuss was texting just before the accident. Her cell phone, which was flipped open, was found resting on the floorboard by her feet.
Preuss' mother Kelly said she hopes the accident will make other people think before texting and driving.
===============================================
This story if from Foxnews.com. The 16 year old girl was drunk, speeding, and texting and the mom hopes that other kids will learn not to text like her daughter was. Huh??? Shouldn't the kids also learn not to drive drunk and not to speed?
