And John McCain is any better? He lies on his commercials aout how he "hates war" yet wants to be in Iraq for 100 years.

ahh PB here we go again. we ALL hate war but that doesn't mean we aren't going to GO to war. sheesh

But if he hates war so much, why doesn't he show it by developing a time line of how long it will take him to withdraw us from this UNNECESSARY war? What's he afraid of? Obama has discussed it. He doesn't want us to know that he supports Bush's mistake and wants to continue staying the course of failure.

There's no better way to show you hate war than fixing Bush's mistake and ending this god damn war.

No Pb, it's just not that simple. Even your "Messiah" sees that! He is flip flopping on the timeline for withdrawl now.

We WILL withdraw, but possible stay there with a base (like in other countries) But, come on now, we can't draw a timeline like that.

If you were playing chess, would you tell your opponent when you were going to quit? How incredibly STUPID is that?

As far as staying to course of failure, contrary to what you surrender monkeys want to believe & expect the rest of the country to believe (on stupid blind faith, like you Obamaites) that this is a complete & utter failure on every front, everywhere, all the time.

The plain fact is that it is NOT an utter failure! As a matter of fact, we are doing quite well there as well as the Iraqi government & the people. Yes, there have been mistakes, yes it was not planned well, yes there were many many unexpected things that we didn't deal with in the right way. But, there IS light at the end of the tunnel! Not only for us, but, for the Iraqi people as well. In the long run (we were warned from the beginning that this wouldn't be easy or short) we will ALL be safer & better off once Iraq is stable.

You surrender monkey's need to get your heads out of moveon.org's sandpit & take a REAL look at what's happening over there.

I looked at this painting again, rather closely.

Tell me PB, why aren't there ANY typically Patriotic symbols there?

IE: American Flag, Statue Of Liberty, The White House, etc. etc.

Here we go again. Obama doesn't need to use contrived "faux patriotic" symbols such as flag pins(which the media lambasted him over) just to prove he is "patriotic". Obama's patriotism speaks for itself in the form of him wanting to bring change. Change in the form of fixing our broken government and our broken nation. Restoring digntiy and order to the government and improving our image to the world. Making decisions such as ending this failure war in Iraq to preserve American lives. THAT is patriotic. NOT these warmonger Republicans who hide behind symbols of faux patriotism while supporting actions detrimental to the American people.

No one likes war and we all want it to be over.
I don't think there has been any war when someone knew it was over, you really can't slap a time tabe on war.

As for this picture Dprin, It doesn't stand for patriotism, It looks to me like it stands for freedom, notice all the freedom signs, the wild horse, the rays of lights, and a bridge, the bridge to freedom.
Who ever drew this is one heck of an artist.

okay superduper, i'll bite.

freedom from what?

PB: "Change in the form of fixing our broken government and our broken nation. Restoring digntiy and order to the government and improving our image to the world.

Exactly HOW is your "messiah" going to accomplish this?

Our FLAG, Lady Liberty, etc are NOT faux patriotism............they are the SYMBOLS of ALL AMERICANS & the freedoms our ancestors fought & died to guarantee for US!

The Pledge of Allegence, The Star Spangled Banner, Stars & Stripes Forever, etc etc ALL Patriotic music & words that reference our FLAG! Our SYMBOL of freedom!

This is faux patriotism? are you kidding? you actually BELIEVE that crackpot Obama when he says that showing his patriotism is "beneath him"? WOW

I think what polarbear is trying to say is that EVERY photo or painting of a presidential candidate does NOT have to have a patriotic symbol in it! There is a commercial on TV where McCain talks about the environment. He is standing on a mountaintop and wearing casual clothes. There does NOT have to be a patriotic symbol in this shot because he is outdoors and talking about the environment. therefore, why does there have to be a patriotic symbol in this painting above? The artist was expressing his talent and that's how he painted it.

okay GS, you win THIS round. you are right, and the painting is very nice.

the "hail to the chief" reference must be PB's. and we all know he doesn't give a CRAP about being patriotic, as a matter of fact, being traditionally patriotic is sacreligious (spell?) for ALL the blind followers that NOW believe that traditional patriotism is somehow fake. LOL
