Texas Made : This blog belongs on top....Jan 20, 2009 | 9:00 AM

Edit | Delete  I did not write this blog, but Texas Made wrote words of wisdom, words to note and definitely words to live by. This post should remain on the top of the list of blogs during the whole day. The King of freeloaders is about to be inaugerated and this is a message that he was the wrong choice. America did not vote for this man. The urban centers of the Nation voted him in for a free ride. Thank you Texas Made, and I hope to see more like this from you in the future.

If you are a believer in the message below, and a TRUE conservative and patriot of this country, please help keep this post twoard the top. Thank you. It is all I ask.

God Bless, God help, and May God watch over this country. Obama won't be and that is a fact.

As most of you know, we will have a new president as of today... May God help us all!  How do people not understand that he is only in office because the blacks who want handouts feel like they are going to be "hooked up" with some free cash!  Not to mention Republicans who went the other way on this one... Only REAL Republicans stuck with our party... yes I know he may not have been that great, but I would have rather had that then a bunch of people standing around with their hands out.  Even though his plans are too give handouts possibly next month, the economy is still going to be down because people try and live way above thier means.  I am middle class and am no where near being rich by any means.  However, I do believe in a hard, honest living.  I DO NOT believe in having things just handed to me because we hit a few hard spots in our economy.  People do not realize that cable is not a necessity, a big house for a family of 2 is not a necessity, a mercedes benz is not a necessity, cell phones are not a necessity, but how many of these people are willing to give all that up?  I didn't think so.  It's called priorities people.

I know some people really do need the money because they have been laid off from their job... I'm not talking about those people.  I am talking about the people who live in poverty and choose to live that way because they are lazy, and then want handouts for nothing...

HOOOOOOOO RAHHHHHHHHHHH JOHN CORNYN. LONE WOLF MC QUADE WOULD BE PROUUUUUUUD!!!

Clinton Faces Roadblock to Confirmation The New York senator is facing opposition from one nameless colleague in her quest to become the next secretary of state.

WASHINGTON -- A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says Hillary Rodham Clinton will not be confirmed as secretary of state Tuesday because of a single senator's objection.

Reid spokesman Jim Manley said Republican John Cornyn of Texas has indicated he will block a move to confirm Clinton by an unanimous floor vote later in the day.

But Manley also said there would be a roll call vote Wednesday. And he predicted that "she will receive overwhelming bipartisan support" at that time.

The Senate does plan to confirm several of President-elect Barack Obama's Cabinet by unanimous vote later Tuesday.

Neither Cornyn nor his office was immediately available for comment.

THATS THE TEXAS WE HAVE COME TO LOVE AND CHERISH

GIT'R JOHN.

HOT OFF THE PRESS

ANONYMOUS SOURCE REVEALS THAT THE ISLAMIC EXTREMIST'S THAT PLOTTED AND EXECUTED THE 9/11 ATTACKS WERE PAID BY CHENEY AND BUSH TO DESTROY THE TOWERS...SEE STORY BELOW...

NOT !!!

GUANTANAMO BAY NAVAL BASE, Cuba —  Two of the five men accused of orchestrating the Sept. 11 attacks offered unapologetic admissions of guilt Monday in a sometimes chaotic — and possibly final — session of the Guantanamo war crimes court.

The hearings, scheduled over several days, could be the last at Guantanamo, since President-elect Barack Obama has said he would close the offshore prison at the U.S. base in Cuba and many expect him to suspend the military tribunals and order new trials in the U.S.

Ramzi Binalshibh and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the self-proclaimed architect of the terrorist attacks, casually admitted guilt during a series of outbursts as the translators struggled to keep up and the judge repeatedly sought to regain control.

"We did what we did; we're proud of Sept. 11," Binalshibh announced at one point in proceedings that dealt with a number of legal issues, including whether he is mentally competent to stand trial on charges that carry a potential death sentence.

Mohammed, who is representing himself, switched back and forth between Arabic and English, insisting at one point that a uniformed military lawyer assigned to assist him be removed from his defense table. The man, he said, represents the "people who tortured me," he said.

Mohammed shrugged off the potential death sentence he faces for charges that include the murder of nearly 3,000 people in the Sept. 11 attacks.

"We don't care about capital punishment," he said. "We are doing jihad for the cause of God."

In a separate hearing, a judge was holding pretrial hearings in the case of Canadian Omar Khadr, who is accused of killing a U.S. soldier, Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Speer of Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a grenade during a battle in Afghanistan in 2002 when the Toronto native was 15.

In both cases, the judges were considering whether the Pentagon must charge and arraign the men all over again after it withdrew and refiled charges in about 20 cases. The Pentagon described the refiling as a procedural step required to appoint new military jury panel members.

The judges sided with the prosecutors and ruled the cases would not have to start anew.

One judge, Army Col. Stephen Henley, acknowledged doubts about the future of the hearings, saying one legal matter could be addressed "at later sessions, if later sessions are scheduled."

Lawyers and representatives of human rights groups who came to observe the hearings believe Obama will suspend the military commission system created by Congress and President George W. Bush in 2006 to prosecute dozens of men held at Guantanamo.

"This system is discredited and flawed and should not exist one day more, and certainly the signals that we hear from Washington, from the Obama transition team, are that he will act on it as soon as he is in office," said Jamil Dakwar, a lawyer with the American Civil Liberties Union who is in Guantanamo this week to observe the hearings.

Obama's nominee for attorney general, Eric Holder, in his confirmation hearing echoed a major criticism of the commissions: that they lack sufficient legal protections for those charged. He said the detainees could be tried in the United States.

Those statements make it unlikely that the commission system will go forward, said Navy Lt. Cmdr. Bill Kuebler, Khadr's Pentagon-appointed lawyer.

"It is simply unimaginable to think that these proceedings would continue when you have an administration that is on the record saying that so clearly," Kuebler said. "What's very clear ... is that they want to take a different course of action on Guantanamo."

The Pentagon's chief war crimes prosecutor, Army Col. Lawrence Morris, said he did not know what the Obama administration would do and had to plan as if the commissions would go forward. Still, prosecutors joined with the defense in asking military judges to postpone this week's hearings until after the inauguration. The judges rejected the request.

Call him what you want and will Bush haters. You slept good, ate well, had money to spend, enjoyed peace with your kids and family. Got to make choices from every day routine to holliday traveling.  Homosexuals got to express themselves without fear of execution. Civil right movements got to march and protest without fear of imprisonment or attack. Partiers went to bars without fear of suicide bombers. Wall Street tanked our economy with the help of the Dems and Barnie Frank but at least there was money and economy to tank, and so on and so on with freedoms and libertys. But by God Bush / Cheney and the administration of the last 7yrs are the ones that made sure you could, while they were the ones making all the hard decisions and taking those 3:00 am phone calls. B!tch alllll you want and Blame and hate till your're blue in the face.

As the years passed, most Americans were able to return to life much as it had been before 9/11. But I never did. Every morning, I received a briefing on the threats to our nation. And I vowed to do everything in my power to keep us safe.

Over the past seven years, a new Department of Homeland Security has been created. The military, the intelligence community, and the FBI have been transformed. Our nation is equipped with new tools to monitor the terrorists' movements, freeze their finances, and break up their plots.

And with strong allies at our side, we have taken the fight to the terrorists and those who support them. Afghanistan has gone from a nation where the Taliban harbored Al Qaeda and stoned women in the streets to a young democracy that is fighting terror and encouraging girls to go to school.

BUSH KEPT US FREE AND SAFE....BUSH HATERS.....

KISS HIS BLEEP AND MINE TO FOR THAT MATTER. !!!!

"In California, where lawmakers have taken steps to cut a $16 billion budget deficit in half by summer, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger proposed saving $400 million by releasing more than 22,000 inmates who had less than 20 months remaining on their sentences. Violent and sex offenders would not be eligible."....Foxnews.com
