Do you enjoy your birthdays?  Or is it a real bummer to get older?

In our brand new 9 am hour later this week, I’m doing a segment on those decade or milestone birthdays.  You know the ones that end in 0.  Like 30 or 40 or 50 or yikes 60!

Some people dread them.  Other’s look forward to them.  And a psychologist tells us how to handle them.

This was fun for me to do…seeing I’ve had my share of milestone birthdays.

How do you feel about them?

The one I hated the most was 30!!
30 is too old to be a Young Adult and too young to be a Mature Adult!!
Now I'm 46, and I still don't feel like a Mature Adult!! When does that happen?!! :)

Birthdays have never been a biggie for me. Milestone or not.

How old is this psychologist?

Has this person had many birthdays?

Actually, each birth only happens once,
so most correctly we each only have one-birthday.

Then again, if we each have only one birthday,
how is it we get older?

Whew! Now I'm confused!

Live it up the best you can. Enjoy everyday like it is your last. Do what you want to do at work and at home. We all have to go through the same walk in life. So far at 65 with being a diabetic and a cardiac OK. So if I drop over no biggie. I have done almost everything that I would like to do. Birthdays come and go one at a time.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CELEBRATE WITH A BIG GLASS OF VINO AND PASTA.

The other day on Speed Carl Edwards was being interviewed and the reporter told him "happy birthday". Being the gentleman that he is, he said "thanks, this is the oldest I've ever been".

For some people it seems they need a brandy, birthdays to me is something like a surfaceing alice in wonderland it's usually bad when it turns into lost world.Which means your getting older, birthdays don't seem to be the same among your elder years. When i first turned 18yr i celebrated everyday like it was my last such as ferris bulers rampage. Now that i am in my 30's i still celebrate when ever it come around.

I am one of the few who LOVES her birthday. I always plan to do whatever I want, and I don't let anyone change that.

This year I turned the big 4-0! My sister, my niece and I went to Vegas and had a big time.

Harkins used to let you go to the movies for free on your birthday. Back then, I would always go see a movie.

I don't see it as "just another day" as many people do. It is MY day, so WATCH OUT!

I don't pay attention to the day so much (except for a good reason to party) as I do the year and what occurs during that time. This year I turned 50, got a tattoo, and went to the Sturgis bike rally - All firsts, all fun, so this has been a great year so far!

Sturgis was incredible!! 400,000 motorcycles in all, 90% were Harleys! The Black Hills are like the Flagstaff area with water everywhere.

Didn't Dennys give you a free meal on your birthday?

I think Denny's gives a free birthday meal and some other restaurants will give you desert or something free.

One place you have to watch for is Olive Garden. If you tell them it's your birthday they'll bring you this little cake. Nice of them, huh? No, wait til you get your bill. They've charged you for it and it's not a cheap little cake.
So remember to always ask if they give a free desert or appetizer for your birthday or else you may be surprised to find they don't.

Come on. The older we get, the more valuable we get, we're all getting better. Watch Thursday morning, or afterwards on this web site, you'll feel better, I hope.
