DON'T LIKE YOUR NEIGHBORS?

If you don't like your neighbors, you'll be interested in this story.  I've never heard one this wild before. 

Vicki and Jeff Mead have been trying to get an approval from Boulder County, Colorado to open an ATV rental business out of the building they bought back in 2007.  It's right along a highway in the town of Allenspark.

The county didn't like the idea, apparently, and neither did some federal officials.  But if the Meads have a real bone to pick, it's with their neighbors who have been fighting hard against their plans.  One neighbor in particular, Margaret Patterson, appears to be upset over damage done to nearby areas by ATV riders. 

So the Meads have come up with a unique plan to get back at their neighbors, and Ms. Patterson, specifically.  They've decided if they can't open an ATV shop at their location, they'll open a porn shop!  And it's all perfectly legal.

A sign has already gone up on the business announcing what's coming soon:  THE PATTERSON XXX PORN SHOP.  That's right, they named it after their neighbor!

Since the business used to be used as an art gallery, the county can't touch them for displaying "art", which as we all know is in the eye of the beholder.  The Meads said they never thought they'd be getting into the porn business...but here they are about to do it...and to try getting some pretty impressive revenge on their neighbors.

What do you think?  Whose side do you take?  And how have you resolved a dispute with a neighbor in the past?

OMG that is hilarious. I totally support the Meads on this one. It almost sounds like Mrs Patterson belongs to an HOA with her "I know whats better than you do" attitude. This is America folks. If you dont like what your neighbors are doing than you have 2 options. the first is my fav. MOVE THE HELL AWAY. or the secound STFU. as far as dealing with bad neighbors let me tell you story that happen to me just a couple of months ago, the reason why I moved last month.

cont: I lived in a small 7uint complex, all 1bdroom apts. My neighbors where all DRUNKS that would party in the courtyard till the wee hours in the morning. I was an early riser because of my job (at my desk @6:30am every day)so I went to bed early, but was constantly having my evenings disrubted by them plus they all had those little yippie ankle bitter dogs that would bark when the wind blew between their ears. Anyway I like to ride Harley's and my friends where always taking me home on the weekends late at night. This one wanted to park his harley in the courtyard (to protect his bike)but I kept telling him NO I have neighbors!! well my last month there I let him ride his bike right into the court yard, reeve it up a few times and even beep his horn all this at 2am one friday night and boy did it piss them all off to say the least. I then became the neighbor from hell. MY KARMA TO THEM. It was great Ron to hear them BLEEP about that bike. All I could do was laugh at them dumb clueless bunnies

IMO it all sounds petty and childish, what sore losers. You can't always win....as far as the neighbor thing, now THAT was funny....

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Let me in the store, I would be happy to support the Meads. Go for the gusto and live it up to your own desires and don't hurt anyone in any direction.

I'm with you jteamaz. They are being very petty and spiteful. Whatever happened to majority rules? The majority of the people didn't want the atv store so instead of being sore losers find another location to peddle your wares.

I did laugh at what they did decide to do. What a way to make a statement! Their porn shop will probably much more successful than a boring old atv shop.

Why do you think it's petty and spiteful? I think I would an atv shop. You can get porn on the computer and it's free. If you look in the right places. Adults only please and thank you.

...or dont live in an area that is obviously zoned business/res. There's your majority......the zoning commision. Infringment of ones Constitutional rights is a federal offence. Those neighbors should move to a zoned residential area, leave them alone, or be prosecuted for violating trhe right to prosper!

The classic "be careful what you wish for"....apparently Margaret didn't think far enough ahead. She should have kept her silence and opened an ATV Parts Shop!

Why wouldnt it be legal?
Isnt the country a constitutional republic?

The last time I made sure even though it doesnt look like it, on paper this isnt Russia or china yet.

PERMIT = Permission from gov to do something that would otherwise be illegal.


So we need permits to protest some cops are saying to us on the streets?

Hmm I guess if you got the gun and the citizen doesnt know his rights or the constitution, you can lie to them, intimidate them and violate them anytime you want.

We have a lawless gov imposing law after law after law on the people its suppose to represnt.

I wouldnt care if it was legal or not.

People arent free when people tell them what to do. Im glad people do these things to retailiate against the freedom hating neighbor who doesnt like or respect others freedom.

Maybe I should start looking for a house to buy in HOON's Mesa neighborhood ???

that can be strewed as harassment, cant it? think back to elementary or high school and things that kids did that got under the teachers or principals skin..try stuff like that! as for an idea...i dont know..be creative..order them a bunch of magizines that are cheap that will offend them...and have the bills sent to them...they wont know and they will be peeved.
