Where do you find the smartest people in America?  According to a new survey from Travel + Leisure magazine the answer is:  Seattle.  Now...I was in Seattle last week, and the people there don't seem any smarter than they do here in AZ.  My hometown of Wenatchee, Washington, though?  Different story.  Brilliant people all over the places there!

It's more interesting to see which city came in last on that list of smarts:  LA.

What do you think?  Have you seen examples of smartest or stupidity in either of these cities?  Got another city that ought to make the list?

This same survey said the Phoenix metro area has the 11th most beautiful people in the country.  Miami's number one.  San Diego is number two.  I don't know whether we should feel good about #11 or insulted.

I can agree with LA since that's where HOLLYWOOD is and the less than bright celeb's that live there. But, where exactly does Michael Moore live?

Arent' we all beautiful, in our own way? LOL

Ron: Who cares what a nothing magazine like "Travel & Leisure" says? What useless, time wasting information this is and where is their backup on who, what, why & where their collection of data comes from and has it been verified. Probably not. Biggest question I have is what do they base their findings on as I have always heard that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Just because people may be more educated or "smarter" doesn't mean that they have the common sense or the work ethic. I worked with a lot of educated people here but couldn't get them to do a thing. On the other hand I also worked out with people in rural Indiana and some of the were the most hard working people I have been around. I don't care if you got a 2400 on your SAT's if you don't put it to work for you.
