Anyone other than me have a problem with the fund raising car washes?  Saturday afternoon, while driving from one mall to another, I bet that my wife and I passed no less than fifteen different organizations holding "car washes."    Skimpily glad young girls of ten, eleven, twelve (in matchbox size bikinis) strutting around with signs, whistling, yelling and stepping out into traffic in an attempt to catch your attention.  Young boys horseplaying into traffic and making just getting around an intersection rather difficult.

Should one of these young people be injured, or God forbid, killed, would the proceeds from that one day of being stupid be worth the outcome?

First off, I have a real problem with beggers.  And this is exactly what I feel these organizations are doing.   They are "begging" me to help in their financial needs.  Well!!!!    No one helps me or my family with our financial needs.   And, I'm not going to stoop so low as to go on a street corner and harrass or beg someone to help me.    I have a little too much pride for that sort of thing.

Also, where are the sponsors, parents, guardians or the police?   These actions are dangerous, if not to motorist, to the participants who act like they just came in from the monkey gage.

Am I alone in this?  Or, is this something that others have questioned?

Customer service and 'getting what you pay for', is long gone !

Greed and rude service is the norm anymore.
Filth, in even the better restuarants, is commonplace today.

If the food doesn't kill you, or make you sick, the atmosphere or employees may !

It's a shame !

Those car washes are dangerous. If they are not in your lane of traffic they all have the signs and it distracts people and there is a high risk of accidents. The parents of these kids would be the first to want to sue someone.

I agree furbie.

the part about the car washes that bothers me is the way those young girls are dressed. they have their entire life ahead of them to be looked at like a piece of meat...no need to start at 12. lol

TM, you are oh sooooo correct. There just aren't any morals today. My daughter would have never been able to leave the house with what some of them wear. But, you know what they say? SEX sells. Even if they are only 10, 11 or twelve. And, may I point out that some of them have the body of a twenty year old.
But, answer me this. What does a "car wash" have to do with church, baseball or any other type activity?

Yes it does sell, sadly even at Church car washes.

Rusty Nickel just about describes me. I'm a bit rusty and don't really have two nickels to rub together. Just trying to get along in a world of riches. I'm living in a champagne world drinking water and trying to keep my head up above that. I've a couple of "rotten kids" who have a couple of "rotten kids" and I admit that I probably had a hand in making 'em that way. I love dogs, kids, fast cars and lots of good food. Love to cook, but hate to clean up afterwards.
