First, let me be totally honest.  I'm a safe driver who follows the rules.  I've only had one moving violation in the past 35 years.  And, I still don't believe that I deserved that one, but it wasn't worth fighting.

What I have a real problem with is this:  Why is it that everyone who has absolutely no place to go; all day to get there; no care about anyone else -- why are they ALWAYS in front of me, regardless of where I go?

There can be no one behind me for miles and yet, some idiot with a junker of a pickup or car just can't wait another 30 seconds and will pull out in front of me?  Then they drive 10-15mph.

Then there are those in front of me who can't remember that it doesn't take a personal written invitation to move when the light actually does turns green.  Or, they will sit there on their darned phones until the light is ready to turn yellow again before they move on.  Usually making it unsafe for the next vehicle to move.

I now know why I never learned to cuss before I learned to drive.

Wonder why Texas hasn't come up with a Texas Driver's License refresher course?  Those who received their license 50 years ago can simply renew their license each five to seven years by passing an eye test and paying the fee.  Nothing about the fact that new laws have been passed, laws have changed, etc.

rusty, let me tell you that i recently realized that there are actual and in-the-flesh insane people -- and i mean literally crazy insane people -- who should not be behind the wheel but are? i witnessed a woman leave the psycho clinic one day, talking to herself and laughing, only to my shock to see her get behind the wheel and drive away? that was a real wake up call for me, and has made me really careful and scared of being on the road !

Rusty, do you drive a bright yellow car too?
I do and seem to have people look straight at my car then pull out in front of me.
You'd figure the color of the car would make it easy for them to see me coming.

No, unfortunately I drive a silver one. Maybe that's why they can't see me. Huh? I drive about 200 miles per day and not a single day goes by that I don't have to slam on my brakes to keep from killing some idiot why pulls out in front of me. Then they want to poke along at 15-20mph. Can't figure ppl out.

Rusty Nickel just about describes me. I'm a bit rusty and don't really have two nickels to rub together. Retired retail executive who now works part-time in the home mortgage field. Travel extensively throughout North and East Texas, sometimes logging as much as 1200 miles per week. Work when I want to, play when I need to. Hobbies include cooking (eating), gardening and entertaining grandchildren. Dislike obnoxious people, arragant people and those who are so one sided that they need to be propped up so they don't fall over. Can't understand why parents fail to raise children who respect others and take responsibility for their own actions. I have a couple of "rotten kids" who have a couple of "rotten kids" -- and, I admit that I've probably had a hand in making 'em that way. I love kids, dogs, fast cars and lots of good food. Hate commercials that show foods that I can never get when I order the same thing....still love to cook and hate to clean up afterwards.
