Well, now AT & T Yahoo are giving its subscribers something they didn't ask for and probably do not want.  Advertisements on your email page.  What joy having a flashing advertisement when you are reading  an email or when you are composing.  My complaint was answered with " this is how we give our customers world class service".  There is no way to delete these advertisements or to hide them  What are they thinking. It is more like world class trype.  Also, I was told, if you do not like it, there are other avenues you can go  for email.  Now, that is class. What abominal customer service.  If you have AT& T yahoo sending feedback may tell them their customer base does not like it but it appears it will do no good. Afterall, they are giving "World Class Dis-service" for a few shekels.

They are right, I am in process of finding another provider.

I don't understand the big deal it only does it when you first open your mailbox. Once you open an email it's not there. If I get unlimited storage, I can put up with a little ad.

I have more than a few ads. I am surrounded by them. I contacted AT&T, and received a page of things I could do. There is no way to get rid of them. It is most annoying. The god of communications has done it to us again. Oh how I hate AT&T. If it wasn't so cheap, I would change. The only reply I receive is a lot of PR nonsense.

I would say the issue is that Hotmail is a Free service, ATT is NOT. You are paying for it twice, once for the monthly payment, and 2nd for the advertisements. I would go look thru your user agreement and see if that is part of their thing via email agreement? If not, I would ask for all revenue generated by you on those ads.

Second you might look at dumping their email address, and signing up for a domain name of your own, and having someone like www.godaddy.com look after it. Its probably like $20/year.

Besides that, you would get to keep and move your email address around w/ you if you got something other than ATT.

For years and years I have dealt on and off with AT&T on telephone and Internet issues...I am madder at them than any other corporation on this planet...they advertise with this smoothe tongue...get you in...and then you get the goods...which ain't like you bargained for...then yeah...they are real smoothe again...got their speech all prepared....fencing with you...stonewalling....it is kind of like fighthing with the Govt....you ain't got a chance!....best to move on ...we had AT&T TWICE since 2003, on our Internets...had to tell them to go stick it...finally...we are with cable and vontage. Like it very much.
