scottythecomic's whimsical rantings

Thankfully I have my own pool. Because of that, I don't have to swim through the filth of others when I want to take a dip and cool off.

Yeah, kids have always tinkled in pools. Adam and Eve's kids did it even though it's not in Genesis. But defecate? My goodness, that's almost as sick as the Toosie Roll floating in the pool in "Caddyshack."

Cryptosporidium sounds more like an STD that a parasitical nuisance. And think about it, cryptosporidium  could be misdiagnosed, dependent on where someone ate the day previous. Can you say Panchos?

In these technological days of haste, it's scary to know you can't trust your food, much less a place to swim after your requisite 30 minute wait after eating to avoid cramps. And that's not to mention the floaties and other toys imported from China.

Sheesh. What a summer for the kids.

(Que music): I don't know about the rest of you mugs, but there ain't no bugs on me.

I won't go to public pools and never allowed my kids to for those reasons.

KIDS defecating in a pools... this is a reason there SHOULD be an age limited on how young kids can be allowed IN pools/water parks! NO BABIES, no one younger than 6. That are everyone will have to be issued diapers?! Just gross. There was a reason we never took our kids to public pools.
I wonder how many of these incidences could be tracked by to illegals (most of these ppl are extremely ignorant) and the increase since their mass invasion of Texas. We never heard of this epidemic years ago. Maybe a massive cover-up? lol

p.s. the not eating thing is a hoax.

Maybe it's more common now because the respective cities have to keep the bathrooms closed to keep the pervs away.

WHO would use one of those bathrooms anyway, scotty! LOL Talk about BUGS.
Seriously, I've never supposed public funded, tax payer ENTERTAINMENT. If you want your kids to swim, go to the Y or a place you have to pay for with your money. And hope they don't allow young poop'n kids IN the water.

Well, Chard, then simply change the words!

There ain't no bugs in pee,
Well there ain't no bugs in pee,
I don't know,
About the rest of you mugs,
There's sure bugs in feces.

Scotty, when the movie "Jaw's" came out people were too scared to go in the water. This story will cause people to stay out of public swimming pools now. Geez is there anywhere that we can swim safely?

Panchos

We went to Panchos a few months ago and it was AWEFUL! We were told that someone bought them out. All I know is the meat was pastey and the rest of the food was crap. Wait person said everyone was complaining.

I remember the last time I went to a public pool, was when I had to take school kids, old enough to know to use the bathroom.
Other than that, I have been to beaches. I even quit going to lake swimming areas nearby, because of the influx of so many crowds that inundate the swimming areas.
When i was growing up we had a large olympic size public pool, and I remember we had to go thru showers, in our swimsuits, as we stepped through, girls and boys entrances. When we stepped out to the swim area, there were walk thrus that had disinfectant water for our feet.
I don't know that anywhere public has disinfectant walkthru areas or showers as you go into the swim areas. Do they ?

Really, Nancy? I haven't been in years, but I do have fond memories. I bet some white folks bought it. Kidding, y'all.

P.S. It's "CUE the music", for the love of Cheesus.

Hey, good one, Superduper!

Babysister, I believe you're right - there are no showers or disinfectant walk-thru's.

No wonder the city pools are always lacking crowds.

Sal- yeah, it was terrible. I think she said one in ft worth was still owned by the old owners, rest of them were sold. New owner is trying to save money serving low grade "food". That used to be my fav place too..

Native Californian transplanted to Texas in 1989, and I love the Metroplex! I'm a veteran paratrooper/infantryman and very conservative minded. I have no qualms about confronting policies that are detrimental to the United States of America regardless of any political persuasion. I support a strong military, tough, no-nosense politics, truth, justice and yes, even apple pie. I am against the Oprah-ization of this country, liberal politics and seditionists at every level. I'm a firm believer in the idea that the coddling mentality has backfired and served to ruin the backbone of America. There's nothing a good BLEEP-kicking or some firm policies won't fix. I love sports, most notably NASCAR, the NHL, the NFL and MLB. I am a season ticket holder for the Dallas Stars and out at Texas Motor Speedway. Win or lose, I stick to my teams: Dallas Stars, Dallas Cowboys, San Diego Chargers, Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Cleveland Indians and the San Diego Padres.
