You know, getting 'old' really blows

I mean seriously. I went to get my eyes checked Friday. I am now the proud owner of a pair of ever so spiffy Ray Ban bifocals. BIFOCALS! O M G's...what? I need what? No, say you are joking. What? No I am not deaf..what? Really?! No..seriously?! No, no, nooooooooooooooooooooo [wail]. SIGH. BLEEP. So here I sit, trying NOT to make myself hurl when I move my head...clear, fuzzy, clear, fuzzy..sit WAY back so I can see my work screen - yeah not enough ROOM in the cubie and besides my arms aren't that LONG. Switch to the old single vision glasses..better. Get up to go across the office, put on the bifocals...oh...keep head up, stare straight ahead. Fuzzy! Correct! CORRECT!!!! Woosy......nice. But atleast I can READ in bed now..and finish those 3 books on my table before the new shipment comes in. Wonder what is going to happen when I get tiddly with these on - HmmmMmmm. Will the fuzzy tiddly vision be clear? That would be a bonus

Yeah I did....they are fuzzy on the sides tho. I need to take them back and have them looked at. Sumthin isn't right with these puppies

How about tri-focals? ...I just went to get new glasses about two weeks ago..wow like an estimate on the national debt...but I was so anxious I would be needing tri-focals but I am still in the bi-focal 'range" ..I gladly welcomed them..I was having to read things with my glasses and a magnifying glass so it was time..believe me this was hard to do too!!!

well right now i'm just in reading glasses. The doc gave me a script for them but i bought them off the shelf. lol might have been a dollar or two...but i can see the pages now :)

skoot...fuzzy glasses are reason enough to take the day from work off. :)

OMG's right? I about fell over when they gave the cost! Thank GODS they had a $100.00 off thing going on. I have still bought cars for less than these stupid things!

HAHAHHAHAHA! What a great idea! But alas, I am taking a half day next Weds to go to the Rover to watch the UEFA Cup final between Man U and Liverpool...so I have to make it look like I deserve it ; )

I went for an eye check up not long ago... I didn't even realized I couldn't see in the dressing room mirror, until I SAW that I could. LOL
The bi-fo should pass shortly & you can always try contact. They work well too! And YES, TAKE THEM BACK if you have a problem... many of these eye places skew up the lenses (she says, after 5 RETURNED TRIPS )

yeah I am thinking that will be done when I leave today :-P They are fuzzy, and kinda crooked, and I have the 30 day return thing so I am not really liking these frames [actually that is a lie, they are really cute]. Ok ok yes it could be I don't want to wear them so I am looking for excuses.....nah.

GETTING OLD BLOWS, GETTING OLD BLOWS!! Getting old does not BLOW. If you were a man you would understand, it doesn't suck either. It just doesn't do anything at all, nuthin, just hangs there, doesn't do nuthin at all :(. And you're upset because you need glasses.

Upon looking closer at the post here I noticed the use of a word. DORK. Do any of you know what a DORK really is? I will allow three wrong answers before I tell you. Unless of course one of you has the correct answer before then. A hint. As a man I would be proud to be called a DORK, though I doubt it would ever happen in that way.

Dude! Seriously? After seeing this, no I do not wonder why you may or may nor imbibe, I know. Wow.....and no to clarify: I am not upset because I need glasses, dork [careful what you ask for]. I have had glasses for years. It is merely an observation of this thing we call LIFE. You know..life. The ride we all thrill to while we are here, simply because we are. Spark up before posting did you? Oh and btw, it does if you are with the right person. It can even swallow [innocent smile]
