Ya know, I tend to agree with this. I mean please. Yes you were great back in the day and I have seen YES many times as I love their music. But I got tix to The Police last year for my fiances B-day - $300.00 + from some online ticket place because it was sold out. We were in the LAST SEATS in the AAC, seriously, I touched the roof, there was wall behind me, I was scared.. And truth be told, I was not impressed. Now I love Crue, and will more than like itune the CD, but will I go see them live? Doubtful. Will I go see YES? Doubtful - last time they did Jon Andersons whale song thing that was like a half hour and he was in his silk jammies - Dude! Do you need some cash for real clothes? You look like my ex mother-in-law. The only band I LOOK forward to seeing again and again is RUSH, because Neil Pert is a GOD and I want to roadie for him just to touch those wonderful drums [I will do it for FREE!! *lol*] and because Geddy Lee has finally grown into his nose *lol*. Other than that - bands doing 'reunion' tours, it isn't inspiring. I don't want to see Mike Reno in his red leather pants now, you know what I am sayin'??
And since I am the drum tech/roadie, I also promote. So if you aren't doing anything and like metal, come see Habitual play. They headline so it is a late show - [yeah I know I will have to take a nap too ; ) ]
Where: O'Rileys - 8989 Forest Lane, Dallas, Texas - (972) 235-2781
When: Saturday 17 May 2008
Time: 9p-2a {Habitual plays at 12-1230}
With: Black Sheep, Hot Ash and Dirty Uncle
Cover - yes, but if you come to see my baby's band tell them at the door. Not sure how much, so call
BONUS: you get to see me lug around drums and cymbal stands, set up and tear down, while you sit blissfully enjoying your beverage! How fun does THAT sound? *lol*

I am not ashamed to admit it. I thought Faster Pussycat was awesome, I had a HUGE crush on Joe Perry, I wanted to be part of Vixen and think Spinal Tap was a GENIUS idea [and one of the BEST movies EVER!!].
But I dunno: Kix? Ummmm...I am trying to understand having them in this list. Rather Skid Row be in this spot personally. Angel?! [seriously?! They tossed!! You gave Angel #20 ahead of Queensryche?! Operation Mind Crime - enough said! That alone makes them worthy of a top 10 ranking!] And where is Poison and W.A.S.P?! You left out POISON?! The icons of pretty boy hair?! What about Jackyl and their awesome inventive use of a chainsaw [ok more metal than pure hair but hey, 80's rock is 80's rock!]. OH Damn Yankees....where are they? This list is lacking!!
If you were a hair rocker back in the day - who would you have on here and who would you let go? Think it is a fair assesment of the spandex clad music? Or are you too ashamed to admit it? *lol*
