But you know - right now I agree with him. These imgainary fees [wild as they may seem], do not exist - YET! But who knows?! I heard this AM on Good Day they may start charging you by your weight as well [which I fail to see how they could as that would lead to major discrimination lawsuits]. But the pay toilet? Yeah I could see the Airlines doing that. I mean, you are a captive aren't you? And when you have to go, well not like you can pull over and find a bush when you are 30,000 feet up! So pony up the change or do the potty dance in your seat. Nausea Tax - another captive issue, and again not like you can pull over to toss the cookies or lean out the window. Bad enough when you have to toss you have to try and aim into a little paper bag for everyone to see, let alone smell! Oxygen tax - now that would be mean but well they need the cash right? Don't pony up and you start to go down, well you get the picture. Read the article - amusing but makes you think doesn't it? I mean AA and the like are trying to nickel and dime us NOW, imagine if they see this. The mind reels!!! And who knew there was an Antler tax?!

Wolf whistle works, woman strips

Thu May 22, 9:54 AM ET

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - Road workers in a small New Zealand town got their wish granted when a woman stripped saying she was fed up with their wolf-whistles.

he Israeli tourist was about to use an ATM in the main street of Kerikeri, in the far north of the country, when the men whistled, the New Zealand Press Association reported.

She calmly stripped off, used the cash machine, before getting dressed and walking away.

The woman told police she didn't take too kindly to the whistling from the men repairing the road.

"She said she had thought 'bugger them, I'll show them what I've got'," Police Sergeant Peter Masters told NZPA.

"She gave the explanation that she had been ... pestered by New Zealand men. She's not an unattractive looking lady," Masters said.

"She was taken back to the police station and spoken to and told that was inappropriate in New Zealand."

When Yosuke the parrot flew out of his cage and got lost, he did exactly what he had been taught — recite his name and address to a stranger willing to help. Police rescued the African grey parrot two weeks ago from a neighbor's roof in the city of Nagareyama, near Tokyo. After spending a night at the station, he was transferred to a nearby veterinary hospital while police searched for clues, local policeman Shinjiro Uemura said. He kept mum with the cops, but began chatting after a few days with the vet. "I'm Mr. Yosuke Nakamura," the bird told the veterinarian, according to Uemura. The parrot also provided his full home address, down to the street number, and even entertained the hospital staff by singing songs. "We checked the address, and what do you know, a Nakamura family really lived there. So we told them we've found Yosuke," Uemura said. The Nakamura family told police they had been teaching the bird its name and address for about two years. But Yosuke apparently wasn't keen on opening up to police officials. "I tried to be friendly and talked to him, but he completely ignored me," Uemura said.

This just amazes me. Does this monster honestly believe anyone is going to buy the insanity defense in this? Do he and his lawyer  honestly think this transparent 'confession' is going to win him any sympathy in the world wide court of public opinion? OMG's - what an ego-driven bottom dwelling pond scum offal! You sexually abused your DAUGHTER! You fathered children with her! You chained her up like an animal for 9 months at the beginning then kept her and 3 of her children in a basement -locked  away from light, fresh air, and the world. You used her for your own sick, twisted deviant needs. You threw one of her children in a furnace. You picked and choose which you would raise based on if they were cry babies or not. You want sympathy? Yeah, thinking no there sunshine. How about this instead: may your own private hell be as bad or worse than your twisted little self can EVER imagine. And when you die, which hopefully will not be for many more years, may it be even worse than that.

    I'M COMING HOME TODAY!
Noah's Ark Founder/Director Jama Hedgecoth and staff are at Auburn University today picking up Evidence to bring him to his forever home at Noah's Ark. His vets at Auburn have determined that he is well enough to come home. In four to six weeks, the vets and students who cared for him are planning to come and see him and take out the catheter. We hope and pray that no more surgery will be required.   We're having a WELCOME HOME EVIDENCE PARTY at Noah's Ark at about 1:30 - his estimated time of arrival - complete with cake for our guests - and sweet feed and coastal bermuda hay for Evidence - one of his favorites!   Thank you to each and every one of you who helped to make this day possible - and praise God for bringing this little guy to us.   With much love and appreciation, EvidenceTM and The Noah's Ark Family www.noahs-ark.org

For those of you who don't know, Evidence was an abandoned Zebra foal found on the side of a busy Ga Hiway a few weeks ago. He had numerous internal injurues, a crushed pelvis and lacerated spleen, and about 50 wounds to his body. Noah's Ark had the story on CNN.com and it pulled at my heart so I donated to help him recover. He has, with much love from the Aubrun staff, Noah's Ark staff and all of us who prayed for this little brave animal.Good news in a world of horror is always the best! YAY EVIDENCE!! May you grow tall and strong!

I was just checking out  ABCnews. com and found this article:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/scienceandsociety/2008/04/
death-and-your.html

You know, I have never thought about this but it does have me wondering about ethical and legal ramifications: What if someone you love committed suicide and they left no explaination as to why? Would it be ethical to search for this by hacking their accounts or for ISP's to provide you with correspondence that may shed some light on the why? Would the privacy of someone they told, who thought perhaps they were not serious be protected? And should it? Or perhaps [in the extreme] someone who said 'Oh dude, why don't you just off yourself!' in a saved IM, text or email and they did - would that person then be liable for charges? Where do you draw the line between privacy and death? After all this was a 'private' communication right? Or at least as private as one can get in the digital age - is there a line between privacy of the person in question and the families need to know? Should there be a line? Is it ethical?

I thought after all the crappy new the last couple of days and hearing more horror of the pervert in Austria, it would be nice to read something with a happy ending for a bit. Makes you feel kind of warm and fuzzy  - or it could be the cat yak'd in your chair. Either way Big YAY for this lovely lady and her caring for the fuzzies : )

Klutz brought up a good point in one of my blog posts: common sense. Is this something you are born with or something you gain with time? No, I am serious. My thinking - one is born with this. It is genetic, like being straight or gay, it is in your genes [in case issue: NO ONE CHOOSES TO BE GAY!  {nuff said so do not choose to bash ok? I WILL NOT tolerate}.] So, common sense - is this something you are born with or something you learn through experience? Give me your thoughts. I have been taught you are BORN with common sense {ie- right from wrong, good decisions from bad, real from fantasy} or is this something your parents gave you thru learning thru your formative years? Opinions?

Getting paid to drink

2 hours, 58 minutes ago

LONDON (Reuters) - Found: drinking companions to join elderly gentleman for a friendly beer at his local pub.

Mike Hammond was bombarded with offers after advertising in his village post office for someone to accompany his 88-year-old father Jack on visits to a southern England pub from a nursing home.

He offered the lucky winner 7 pounds ($14) an hour plus expenses and, after sifting through the applicants, decided on a job-share. Drinking duties are to be divided between a retired doctor and a former military man.

"Dad's now going to be going down to the pub several times a week -- three with his new friends and twice with me," Mike Hammond told The Times on Thursday. "I want to give him some of his old life back."

In this photo released by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office ...

In this photo released by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday April 22, 2008, an 8-foot long alligator is seen in the kitchen of an Oldsmar, Fla. home Monday, April 21, 2008. The 69-year-old owner said the gator must have pushed through a back door screen door and then went inside through an open door. It then apparently strolled through the living room and down a hall and into the kitchen. A trapper removed the gator from the home.
