The best Republican candidate bowed out of the race today, and stubborn conservatives have nobody to blame but themselves.  The most laughable problem looking back is that conservatives didn't get behind Romney early because they were waiting on Giuliani.  GIULIANI!!!  Conservatives?  Then, the "maybe it's Fred Thompson" crowd couldn't make a call.  That guy wanted no part of a presidential campaign, what a joke.   Then there is the anti-mormon, bigoted baptist bible belt: "Yeah Huckabee!"  Buh-by Huckster.  These idiot conservative radio and talking head hosts just identified Romney as the only conservative in the race this week.  DUH!

So now you got McCain! Congratulations.

Yep! Romney made it easy for me. I'll be sleeping in on election. John (Juan) McCain is a closet DemoCRAP. Maybe Obama just to stop Hillary. We're doomed

Excuse me. Blaming Christians! I think I can see where the bigotry is coming from. I happen to be Baptist and I'm a Romney supportor. I would say the majority of Evangelicals, Christians, Baptist or whatever term you wish to use, don't just vote because of the candidates particular religion. If they did, why isn't Huckabee in the lead? Huckabee spoke at my church in Plano (Prestonwood Baptist Church). Just because our church endorsed him and Chuck Norris (who's also a member of my church) doesn't mean I'm following suite. And I would say that goes to the rest of the Baptist in this country. I've hadn't herd much being made of Romney's religion at all among Christians. We're more concern about what the candidate stands for and their voting record.

If you want to put the blame somewhere it's in the primaries. In some of these states it look rigid to me. Especially at doing what can be done to block conservatives from getting the nomination.

For one, there are some states that allow you to vote anyway you want.

And it's possible that in most cases there was just more moderates and independents voting in the Republican primary than conservatives.

What really get's me is what happened in W Virginian. McCain supportors all switched over and voted for Huckbee to deny Romney a win in that state cause McCain supportors new McCain wasn't going to win that state. Makes you wonder how much of this goes on. Sounds dirty to me.

But sadly, there are many people who ARE following suit. Face it, where there are some people who will analyze before they vote, there are many many others who simply won't bother or can't understand. They will vote for someone like a former minister simply because he was one or because he was of their denomination. How else can you explain the blind faith put in by evangelicals in places like Alabama, Missouri and Georgia?

MCCain has done more to earn it than anyone else running. There has not been a candidate that even came close except for Eisenhower.

Hello folks,
I want to advise you all of something and perhaps someone might come up with an idea to counter with. Theres an organization called MoveOn.org that caters to the left. I signed on their e-mail list to see what they are about and they basically go to college campuses and get the kids motivated with their pep talks and rallies and convinces them on issues. Of course, the college professors then help to affirm these beliefs. These kids then actually send their money to them, vote for them and get their friends to do the same. Their was one guy on the street that actually told me that by not approving gay marriage we are hurting families. Can you believe this crock?
This is one of the reasons Clinton and Obama have done so well and have collected so much money.
