During these serious times, people of all faiths should remember these four religious truths:

                 1. Muslims do not recognize Jews as God's chosen  people.

                 2. Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

                 3. Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of
                     the Christian world.

                 4. Baptists do not recognize each other at Hooters.

(HA!)

That's a good one.

You might be a Southern Baptist if your idea of fellowship includes the idea of food.

And finally, if you ever wake up in the middle of the night craving fried chicken and interpret that feeling as a call to preach, you might be a Southern Baptist.

Have a close friend who is the senior minister of a large Southern Baptist congregation. He lives in a very southern state, and when we go to visit he and his wife, we dive over 65 miles to eat dinner with them so that they can enjoy a margarita or a glass of wine with us at dinner. Being a Methodist--we don't worry too much about the embibiing thing--even have had a glass of wine with several Methodist ministers through the years in restaurants--and didn't have to drive 65 miles to do so.
My point would be--people are people.

Sorry--we don't "dive" 65 miles, we drive.

Drinking is not a sin - being drunk is.

To tell the truth...I'm all that and a very large bag of chips and spinach and artichoke dip! In other words very likeable and healthy! Rich with flavor and exotic!
