i am pretty dang upset at our elected leaders. here's why:
here's the scenerio... our elected folk bailed out bankers for being greedy and making profits off of mortgage deals that were bad on both ends (greed vs. stupid lendees). this stinks because I am currently looking to buy my first home but i have always rented. my taxes are being spent on bailing out people that have been living financially better than me (homeowners and bankers).
how much am i paying to bail out people that have been living financially better than me (i am a high school teacher at at charter school which pays 10K less than a traditional public school pays...which is not much , i assure you) ?
here's my math:
the bill that became law in DC dealt with 700 billion dollars plus sweeteners of approximately 150 billion dollars more = 850 billion dollars. This is costing us alot of loot. this 'loot' is paid via the estimated 130 million federal tax payers...
850 billion dollars divided by 130 million tax payers = $6538.46
EACH TAX PAYER (you and me) PAID $6500 DOLLARS PLUS INTEREST (interest that is accumulating as you read this sentence) TO PAY FOR THE MIDDLE AND UPPER CLASS' MESS UPS !!!.
i am upset because i am trying to be middle class but i keep having to do unjust stuff like this. the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
shame on our leaders for making a quick decission that cost me, quite literally, more than i have currently in my retirement fund.
6500 bucks is what we each paid and we are still paying interest that keeps adding up!!!!
SHAME SHAME SHAME
(this was submitted 57 minutes prior to the debate...i'll be interested to see what each candidate says about my issue tonight).

a few months ago, conservative republicans (includung johnnyboy mc shame) blasted obama for not wearing a pointless flag lapel pin on his suit coat. i couldn't help but notice during the debate that little johhnyboy mc shame wasn't wearing a flag pin on his lapel but obama was wearing one.
is little johnny losing his patriotism? hypocrit. go home little johnny. save your dignity (if you have any to save)

what is johnnyboy mcshame afraid of? he's afraid to debate obama? maybe because johnnyboy has already admitted that his weak point is the economy.
his excuse is that he wants to focus on the ecomic meetings at the white house. well, joihnnyboy, today's meeting was over by the time the 5 oclock news came on today.
if the same thing happens tomorrow, johnnyboy has plenty of time to jetplane over to oxford mississippi by 8pm debate.
a good president needs to be able to multi-task. otherwise s-s-seeeeeee ya ! johnnyboy has admitted defeat by wussing out. some hero.
he gave a speech in new york today (although he "suspended" his campaign--oh, and he didn't pull any tv adds either--did he really suspend his campaign??)...maybe he should have stayed in washington dc like he claimed that he needed to do. come on johnnyboy..stop lying to us !!! you are afraid of the economy and you know it. i, for one am not fooled. johnnyboy thinks we are as stupid as he is. senility must be kicking in ...just like it did for ronny raygun before raygun deregulated the banks in the first place.
shame shame shame get some balls, johnnyboy mcshame. why are you afraid to debate obama on prime time national tv...oh yeah, you already told us that you know nothing about the economy. you're such a loser. save your dignity (and all your republican cronies' dignity) and drop out of the race now !!!!

why won't palin talk to the press??? because she's afraid of souding stupid again...anyone who follows politics knows what the bush doctrine is...oops not palin. hahahaha. she flubbed up her one and only press interview so far hahahahahaha
she is afraid of talking to the press because she does not know much about national politics. she is afraid of being called out on all of her lies. is this what we want for america...another cheney...who refuses to talk to most press members because they aren't very bright?
shame shame shame
cnn has been ripping on her for all of her lying (she never told congress 'thanks but no thanks' on her bridge to nowhere which CONGRESS shot down --not palin...but palin is still recieving money for it....another lie...she keeps saying that she put her governor's plane on ebay....she fails to tell you that she DID NOT sell it on ebay...in fact, when she finally sold it elsewhere, she LOST MONEY on the deal) shame shame shame
talk to the press , fraidycat.

johnnyboy mccain, has admitted that his wife illegally used drugs despite the fact that she stole the drugs from a charity she directed and used them while mothering four young children. In 1994, mrs. mccain admitted that she had solicited prescriptions for painkillers from physicians who worked for an international charity that she founded, the American Voluntary Medical Team. She then filled the prescriptions in the names of her staff.
do we want this druggie thief to be our 1st lady (i use the term "lady" very loosely while referring cindybaby)?
let's not forget that johnnyboy mccain cheated on his first wife--almost immediately after returning from being a pow. some hero.
these violate the republican party's platform
in short: THEY ARE HYPOCRITS. shame shame shame

McCain a hero? Gimme a break. sure, he's very nobile for his military service and for his determination as a pow--he served his country well -BUT is he a real hero?...
... that was thirty five years ago. are you (if you're old enough) the same person that you were 35 years ago? certainly not. heck, you aren't even the same person you were a year ago. neither am i.
that's old news. we're living in the here and now. what can an old out-of-touch 72-year old (johnnyboy mccain) offer our U S of A? He admits to relying on others to show him how to use the internet--google it, this is true. in this day and age, don't we want someone who is not "information-highway inept".
3 a. m . johnny boy---will you be using your typewriter to contact your cabinet??
if we don't want to go back 35 years years for credibility...let's gp back 19 years...to the savings and loan crisis ( S&L) that cost US tax payers BILLIONS of dollars. remember the 5 members of our federal government unethically (and some illegally) aided the wealthy bankers--the "KEATING 5"...for those who don't remember or were too young...google it. johnnyboy mccain was one of the keating 5. he cost tax payers BILLIONS of dollars.
in my opinion, this erases his heroism. to me, he is a traitor.
hero? pull-eeeeeeazzze---gimme a break.

i don't think david moss should have the job that he has. don't get me wrong...i like the mossman--i have heard his news since way back when he was doing traffic reports on 1100 am wwwe...i hope my memory is correct. i was a little leaguer then listening to tribe talk/games on that station back in the early 80's and i believe he was doing traffic reports from a chopper . but as judy blume would say: that was then, this is now.
i liked the mossman back then...now, i feel, i am only entertained by him if i pick apart his inadequacies for fun since they are so obvious ( sorry mossman).
1. movie and a mansion? gimme a break...i can handle the 'movie' part even though it's an advertisement for hollywood...i accept it because movies have ties to the economy and so it could be news (even if it is tabloidy). It's the 'mansion" part that gets me. at the time of a heavy bombardment of foreclosures, nobody wants to see a house that they will never be able to afford. those who can afford it can also afford to get top notch realtor to work overtime for them to find them these kinds of houses. don't waste news time advertising houses for local realtors...that's what commercials are for. shame shame shame
2. movies and a meal? gimme a break. hey, i'm cool with learning some new recipes...but from someone who knows what they are doing. does the mossman have any training as a cook? he seems very much like a novice. professional cooks all over the city must be as disgusted as i am with the mossman's lack of cooking abilities. does the mossman film this all in one take? his cooking segments look very raw (no pun intended). we know its filmed because we see the same rerun presentation several times throughout the week on the news (a topic for another blog: rerun news segments). maybe i should be pointing the finger at the producer for this one. the mossman always looks so rushed and he is always sloppy with his presentation. he rushes through a half-ass explanation of what he's cooking then he just throws the garnish any ol' way which can defeat the purpose of having a garnish. ornanmentation is supposed to make things look better...not worse. chef ramsey would freak out if he saw this.
the mossman seems so wishy washy with various jibber jabber as he rushes through things. what really got me was the other day when he was throwing a cobb salad together ( a cobb salad by the most literal definition is throwing whatever you happen to have in the fridge--even leftovers-- together into a salad...its a salad built from schlop...who needs a recipe for that?) he said something to the effect of: a cobb salad is called that because the ingredients are all lined up in rows--like a corn cob. what?? it's COBB salad, mossman...not COB salad...named after a man with the last name of COBB. yikes--misinformation on the eyewitness news. shame shame shame
it's not all the mossman's fault...these news segments need to go...that's the program manager's mistake..
phew. i glad i got that off my hairy chest. (my gripes, that is, not the cobb salad).

andre... USE PRIMARY SOURCES !!! al gore did. you mislead people into thinking that global warming is a farce.
keep in mind that the warmer air is, the more moisture it can hold. global warming has increased average global temps so the atmosphere has more moisture in it than ever has before. is that where all the water is going--to our atmoshere? nope not all of it...don't forget that the world's population is increasing exponentially...there are more desalination plants than ever before. people use water---yes, even salt water. alot of water is tied up and diverted into in human consumption and industry whereas it was not before.
with all due respect to one of my favorite weather guys, maybe this is why i haven't heard the "you da man, andre" in quite some time (a few years?)i'm starting to think that local fox news is not fair and unbiased. the cable fox channel is unfairly conservative--we all know that...but it's starting to seep down to the tabloid fox local news. shame shame shame
i still think 'you da man, andre' but more than once i have heard your scepticism on this matter. as one professional earth scientist to another : USE PRIMARY SOURCES !!!!

how does a #1 team become the underdog? oh wait we're talking osu--a team that thinks they are #1 because they beat teams like kent state, akron u, and youngstown state...gimme a break.
how do you make buckeye cookies? you stick them in a bowl and beat them for 4 hours !!!!
