Its funny how when its them its really bad. Thats why I wish all crime would happen to judges or lawyers for one year. Things would change very quickly.

So here we go again. Pointing fingers at the police. Maybe people need to take responsibility for their own property. It is not the job of law enforcement officers to keep an eye on every single belonging of every single person in Dallas. "Protect and Serve" that is the job of a police officer, but unfortunately they can not be everywhere at one time. And yes it is really bad when someone has the nerve to set a squad car on fire. If a criminal is willing to do that, then they are willing to do anything. Now the police are not just dealing with someone who is setting fires, they are dealing with someone who has no respect for the law or law enforcement what so ever. So of course there will be re-depolyment of man power and extra officers in the area. Cause this guy will probably try to hurt whoever tries to stop him. Then you will be glad there is more officers out on there! Grow Up! Maybe this country would be run better if people would act like adults and take blame for their own faults instead of always pointing fingers at the ones who are out in the middle of the night while YOU are safe in your bed. The day you have to wear a gun and vest to work, then you can start feeling sorry for yourself when YOUR own property gets damaged. I hope that when a police officer protects you or your family, you get back on here and Thank them for what they have done. Oh- but wait! That's their JOB! You don't have to thank them cause they will do it either way.

I back the police 100%. Its a shame they have to have their hands tied most of the time. I say fire the lawyers and hire more cops. It is not their fault it has become this way.

unfortunately you are wrong. They did do something about it BUT the media did not report that they did until a squad car was burned. HMMMM Go figure. The media usually makes law enforcement out to be the bad guy too. Look into it a little more.....

I bet when they catch them they do little to no time in jail. When it should be at least 25 yrs no parole. How many honest people couldn't get to work because of the scum?

The media makes cops out to be the good guys all the time! Heck, they talked about that motorcycle cop so much I thought he was a saint!

Now, to thecops credit, they cannot be everywhere at once. Some are good, some are bad, and that is why more people are taking the law into their own hands.

I don't know that their on-air scare tactics will frighten off an arsonist. According to the FBI, most arsonists are of a low IQ level, and 1 in 4 fall into the retarded category.

Also, 90% of arsonists are male and white. So do we have a white man doing this? It's quite possible!

Sad thing is, most arsonists are never caught.

Once the cops get them in jail its out of their hands. I still bet they get very little time.

Unless someone is imnjured or killed, an arsonist could very well receive probation for a first offense.

Odds are you're right, Moankie. My guess is someone will get caught and take the hit real good.

WOW..thinblueline..you took that very personally ..IMO I don't think the comments were directed at you but again the media "helped" with this... .once a constable's car was damamged then the "news" was more important and urgent...I don't doubt that much is being done to catch this/these arsonists..I hope you do and they pay big time for this.. you are appreciated thinblueline!!!

We need cops so don't think we don't. It's just that with the widespread corruption people are less inclined to trust the police. In some communities, that trust is dang near gone.
