Thank you all for being patient with us while our developers worked to make our boards and blogs more spam proof. If all goes according to plan, tonight FOX Interactive Media will launch an update to the blogs and message boards that will help improve security. The changes you should notice are as follows:

 1) HTML functions will be turned off for a couple weeks as we continue to monitor the situation. (We promise we'll turn it back on sooner rather than later).

  2) There will now be a character limit on blogs to prevent EXTREMELY long posts.

  3) Blog and comment moderation will go back to normal.

  4) Message boards will return.

Tracy, I am under the impression this means no more italics or bold, no
links and other special attributes?

What is the definition of “extremely long” posts?

Thank you for the update. I was quite irritated last night after watching my comments post immediately, then when I put up my post it went into the approval cue. Really busted my bubble, lol.

Thank you, Tracy. Will ALL html functions be disabled? Or just the WYSIWYG? Can we still type in code?

I know this has been much more of a headache for y'all than us - we just gripe louder is all.

Thanks again for the update.

the definition of EXTREMELY long posts is called cutting and pasting ENTIRE articles written by a professional writer on another web site , cut&paste to fox 4 blogs and then the blogger adds , I agree with this how about you ? the people who do that should just learn how to include a link to said ESSAY !!

After looking over the blogs, I see that this is not just unique to me, so sorry for the foul language (HAYECK). :)

why in the world is it taking over an hour to post a comment??? If you can not attach a file or a picture to a comment, what is the harm on a comment. A blog I can understand but a comment.

vid76, myFOXdfw.com does not sell popup ad space. There are a few rollover ads, but if you are seeing a popup ad you likely need to check your computer for spam or spyware.
