FOX 4's Fil Alvarado will have a story this evening at 6 p.m. about office pet peeves. He said no matter how much you love your job or where you work, you likely have at least some pet work-related pet peeves.

In fact, a recent poll on the subject states 60 percent of people consider office gossip a pet peeve and 54 percent of people get annoyed when co-workers waste time.

Tell us... what are your pet peeves?

People pushing their way on the elevator before you have a chance to get off, bad elevator manners.

ok....first let me say that I don't exactly work in an office....most of my main pet peeves here at the shop involve the bodily functions of my co-workers....(one in particular)....anyway....flatulence is like a sport in our place....complete with bragging...(more like gagging).....it gets to the point of being disgusting (really quick).....and this is on a daily basis.....irks me to no end.....but I'm sure that none of this goes on in the FOX4 news room huh Trace.........

Yes - staff meetings BITE.

My biggest pet peeve - IV's in the HAND. To me - that is INEXCUSABLE! There are bigger veins with more room to support a catheter - if YOU can't start it - don't make the patient suffer with a 18 gauge or a 16 gauge in the HAND - go get a nurse that can start it in the forearm rather than save your EGO and put it in the HAND just because that is the ONLY place you can!!!

Didn't mean to go off on a tangent - but that BURNS ME UP.

It's just - do you REALIZE how often people get secondary phlebitis from hand IV's?? The end of the catheter is RIGHT at the bend of the wrist - and moving back and forth - you might as well be scraping the inside of the vein with an ICE-SCRAPER!

Ok - I am really done now. That just grates my last nerve.

But - really - I am done.... I think.

Pet Peeve #1:
I hate having a boss who takes credit for my work and who in turns get promoted for a job that I did that HE took credit for. (Did I mention he's skitzing out on cocaine nearly every day?) (No lie either, I have proof of that one).

Pet Peeve #2:
Having a boss who doesn't support their employees.

Pet Peeve #3:
Having a boss who doesn't know anything about what he's supposed to do and when he gets in trouble for not doing something, it rolls downhill to me.
(Mind you, I have now learned to cover my butt with documentation...who should have to do that???)

Pet Peeve #4:
Someone taking my tub of apple csauce from the community fridge! GRRRRRR

Pet Peeve #5:
NEVER getting a thank you from the bosses for a job well done...even when I save them $60k in losses (yeah, that boss on #1 took all the credit for this one!)

The co-worker who sits right beside you that talks so much you want to bring a roll of duct tape to work.

Or when someone is talking so loud and you can't hear the conference call you are on.

I have been retired for 8 years, but these were my pet peeves and they are still ingrained in my mind.

1) You buy good soft Kleenex for yourself; others find out and keep coming back and using them up. They never buy any.

2) You buy your favorite coffee creamer for yourself; keep it in your office and coworkers keep coming in to use it. They never buy any.

3) Your boss asks how much trouble it would be for you to do something. This is a rhetorical question. They don’t care, they want it anyway.

4) You boss asks for reports that prove nothing and you spend hours on it and they never look at it.

5)Co-workers report you for something they think you did and never bother to talk to you about it.

6) A boss who will hold a meeting to address an issue caused by one employee. They know who the guilty part is but will not confront the employee one on one. The boss doesn’t consider how much time they are wasting doing this nor do they care. But they still want the report from #4.

Northtx...totally spot on w/ #3 and #4...I used to have the good kleenex too, but like #1...they kept thefting it! I have bad allergies in this office and constantly sneeze and have to blow my nose. Grant it, it's not cute, but neither is a raw red nose either!!

Shell, I got tired of one person constantly coming into my cubbie and get the good Kleenex, so I bought some cheap ones and put them on my desk. My co-worker came in and asked where the good ones were and would I be getting more.

My pet peeve is people who talk on the phone in the employee bathroom. It's a bathroom stall, people, not a phone booth!

When your on the phone business, and the people around you are playing and laughing and talking loud and you cant even hear the person on the phone.

Texting instead of working. The younger set doesn't seem to have any boundaries about gabbing on phones or wasting rediculous amounts of time texting. It's annoying having to take up their slack. It's not going to get better though, is it? Where are we headed?

a certain smelly body function in your cube and she leaves cause she don't want to smell it either
not cleaning up after yourself in the break room, your mama don't work here
not washing your hands with soap after using the restroom! nasty!
