I am a calorie counter. So I was extremely surprised to find myFOXdfw.com's new Health Tools Center. Personally I track my health and fitness goals on www.SparkPeople.com and I highly recommend the site. But, the tools on myFOXdfw.com seem to include a pretty complete database of food and restaurant menu nutrition information. You'll also find a BMI calculator, flu and cold risk calculator, symptom checker and even a stress quiz.

If you are into health, have fun browsing.

Exercise, and you don't have to count calories. Diets can't work alone, exercise along with it. If you do that you might find you don't have to loose weight to look better.

Exercise alone won't help you much when you consume thousands of calories at each meal :)

I refuse to drink anything with calories. I drink tons of water. I use a smaller dinner plate and don't go back for 2nds. I stay at my goal weight this way and I can still have hamburgers. I just go for a kids meal. Smaller and I get my 'fix' without blowing too many calories. Diets don't work. You have to live-it. I used to do diets and as soon as I came off them, I gained it back and more. When I changed my routine, the weight stayed off and I didn't feel cheated out of the good stuff.

SparkPeople.com helped me learn that my diet is what I eat. It has no rules. But now that I know more about what I am eating, I can make better choices to achieve the results I desire.

GUILTY AS CHARGED!!! I am a calorie counter and am behind the calorie counter jail. lol I have been on the SLIM FAST plan for about a year as well as my fiance. He has gone from 380 to 275 in that time frame. Now, you ladies out there can agree with me, its hard as hell for us to loose wieght like you men do so quickly. I have been on the same diet as he, but I've only gone from 180 to 140. I have gone from a size 16 pant to a size 8. I am happy but I guess being in the military for 3 years has really made my muscles too "buff" and I can't seem to get back my swim team figure like I had in high school. I was as size 4 then... size 3 on a good day. I am very happy that I've lost all that wieght, and exstatic that he's lost all that wieght too! I can put my arms around him again! I just want to get my girlish figure back vs. the SGT. who would yell and scream at drill to get the little "wannabe"s in thier form. So I am proud to say that YES! I am a calorie counter!
