It’s always a tragic occurrence when a police officer is killed in the line of duty. Dallas Police reports that the tinted window played a major role in officer Nix’s death because he wasn’t able to see through the dark windows. A recent news segment from Sean Rabb, he says that there is a state law prohibiting dark tented windows less that 25% visibility. Dallas Police says that this is has been a problem for years and the law is sometimes not enforced because the lack of funds for the equipment to detect the window tents, which go for about $100each. I think that instead of people spending money on flowers sending them into the Northwest Division station for them to die; they should donate that money to the department/city in order to purchase the equipment necessary to prevent this type of incident in the future. We morn officer Nix’s death; while tragic, but if don’t meet the needs of the police department we’re setting ourselves up for another tragic event.
