I worked as a voting judge in the recent election. It was an "awesome"  event, We had over 900 voters, 100 for the first time, and about 20 who had not voted in over two Presidential elections. So all in all it was a great adventure, and it was interesting to play a small part in such a historical election. It was 12 hours well spent! I early voted and even then, there was quite a turn out and it was great. I will not get on my soapbox and preach you a big sermon...but last Sunday my pastor told a number of people to "accept" the new president as some were very negative over the outcome. Well I voted for Mr. Obama.  He has all our hopes and prayers as anyone in his shoes would need that as they are inheriting quite a mess to deal with.

On the way home the other day I saw a flagpole with the American flag flying upside down with the Confederate flag right below it, in place of the Texas flag. I think that if you voted: you made your choice, and now the people have "spoken." So we need to get past any anger we have, and the awful 'mud slinging' that was on many commercials we had to sit through. Well the voting is over, the ballots are cast, and some still do not want to accept what is the mandate of the people.

We have bigger problems of anyone in two generations, and we need to support each other more, and put aside our differences, because we are on a sinking ship if we don't change, and I can't swim... So the man who is a teacher who flew the black flag, and the American flag upside down, and below its proper place, has some issues. Also this person does also.

Flying your flag upside down is a sign of distress, and flying the Confederate flag, (or any flag improperly) degrades those that died under it as well.  I always deleted those awful emails that people sent back and forth...So thanks for making it known about being more supportive of our elected officials...

Even back in Daniel's time, King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon
was part of God's will. God put him in charge for a reason. He was not a Christian, or anything of "the like sensibilities."  Still he had an important purpose to fulfill.   Mr.Barack Obama IS A Christian.  His election will bring some changes for the better. The facts are: whoever is in charge, the person we have elected as president needs our support.  We have a tough road ahead and we have some incredible problems to deal with.  We need to use all of energies to pull ourselves out of the fire. It isn't that cut and dried, but then it is a start to some progress, as something has to be done very soon.

(The image I was speaking of has yet to be approved to file with this blog, as it is most terrible, but it needs to be addressed.)

Tell me what you think...

It is hopeful that any new politicians will focus on the homefront and the problems that the average joe suffers: that is concerning jobs! Being 50 and being gainfully employed do not go hand and hand. People discriminate against you when you apply for jobs. I have been a substitute teacher for five years, and before that I was working in the Telecom Corridor of Richardson for over 25 years. A person's experience, and maturity plays into having a job, but many times you are left in the lurch for someone younger that the employer can hire for less money. So as you go out to vote for the next governor (A) Please Vote, (B) Vote well (C) Pray that someone will consider the homefront and jobs. When the next presidental election come we hope for someone that will not fight for the rights in some distant land more than those at home. The facts are that we need a policy that protects AMERICANS, and we need NOT (ALWAYS) be the big Brother of the World fighting all the bullies that pop up out of the bushes, or sand dunes, as the case might be. There I said it. You have thought it too. Had out NAtional Guard been home in America we would not have had the terrible aftermath of Katrina. There would have been help to those that were suffering for so long... just one example. Thanks for listening to my rant.

I watched the former President Clinton on Fox news. He felt that he was respresnted on his attempt to take out Bin Laden. What is your take on this issue? I felt as a person I did not like him, but as a president he tried to do right, and take care of terrorists. I know that the mail will be mixed as people like to dog the presidents, past and present. (We are just wanting to have a discussion, and not have a recreation of a Civil War battle...) I felt that for the time, Clinton did all he could to remedy the ills of our country. Other than his fall from Grace with M L... he was not so terrible as a president in modern history he will be judged as any other will be judged. Blog away and lets talk about things that are important.

ALSO, I wish the blogs weren't pushed so far to the left on the page so it can be better read, and also that it was not so hard to download pictures, or make your own advitar...I do well on other websites, so I do not know what is different on this one...
