I saw the other day in the paper that the state legislation is trying to bring prayer back in school.  Personally, I think it is about time.  I can remember when I was a child, we had prayer every morning before class started, and we didn't have near the problems that they have in schools today.  I believe that a big part of our problems now is that we have asked God to leave us alone in schools, and we have asked him for so long, he decided he would leave us alone, and see how we done.

If there were more people today that put Jesus #1, and not try to get God out of our lives, the country would be in better shape.

Signs are starting to point to Jesus returning soon, and not many people care.  Most people care about how much money the are putting in the bank and are starting to pass the offering plate by, and by doing that, we have said it is ok to separate God and School.  This country was founded with God in mind.  Even on our money it says 'In God We Trust,' and if we don't start trusting him again, this country is doomed.

Not sure it will happen.. and the UNAmerican ACLU would take it to court. But it should be.. if for no other reason that in Minnesota (?) they are allowing muslims kids to take time in CLASS to bow and pray to mecca. It's a pity people don't know the difference between godliness and evil.

I know.... people think that allowing muslims to lead prayer, or Buddist to say things. The bad part is, all relions believe that Jesus Christ did exist, but only Christians know is is the Son of God.

I believe it would help because all God asks of us is the we honor HIM, and the last 20 years people have only honored themselves and their money. I can't say I have been any different in the past, but I did realize that Jesus Christ is our Lord and saviour, and without him, I am destined for eternity in Hell. The Bible says, 'If we don't confess Jesus before man, he won't recognize us when we die, and therefore we will be sent to hell.' I perosnally don't want to spend eternity in the Lake of Fire with Satan. I want to spend eternity in Heaven with all of the wonderful gifts that God has in store for me.

I learned a long time ago, good deeds will not get me into heaven. To get to heaven we go through Jesus Christ and He will allow us in heaven or send us to hell.

How is it the " ALMIGHTY " needs you to decide what is right for all his flock? If the " ALMIGHTY " wanted prayer FORCED in his name in to school don't you believe " HE " has the power to get it accomplished! Why do you think there has been a decline in those of faith and those who practice it? Could it be NOBODY wants to be a part of a self serving manipulated LIE of todays organized so called religon? Could it be people of REAL FAITH don't believe faith is a weapon to be used against others, FOR ANY REASON, PERIOD? Nor to be used to achieve personal or political agendas. Nor is one of TRUE FAITH so vain as to try and claim because of their faith they and their group of self proclaimed chosen ones are superior to any other. Could it be those of REAL FAITH know they need no public grandstand, nor public acceptance or condolences? Could it be those of REAL FAITH know it is wrong to demand in " HIS " name others bow to their worldly desires or their beliefs? Could it be as AMERICANS we know each has the RIGHT to choose their beliefs and the RIGHT " NOT " to be forced to ANYBODIES elses beliefs or non at all!

Could it be if those claiming to be of TRUE FAITH acted and showed it, THERE WOULDN'T EVEN BE ANY QUESTIONS? Forced faith is nothing more than a LIE, forcing it in to public will do more damage than REALLY BELIEVING. If forced faith was the right way don’t you believe the “ ALMIGHTY “ would have already done it! Faith is for EACH TO CHOOSE, and the rewards come to those who actually practices it!:)

I not saying to force prayer, I don't know what you read, but all I was stating is that since the government has taken prayer out of school, the children in the school have gotten worse. Remember Columbine. Children carrying guns to school, what about Virginia Tech.

And yes, I know that God could force us to pray if he wanted to, but I also know that he has given us the freedom to do what we want, whether it is right or wrong. Look at Adam and Eve, he told them they couldn't eat from the tree of knowledge, but they did, and it brought sin into the world.

True Faith IS believing that God has the power to do what he wants when he wants, and when we ask for something enough he will give it to us, even if it is bad for us. God doesn't FORCE himself on anyone. He just hopes we make the right decisions. The fact that schools teach that man came from monkeys is a joke, man came for God. True fact of the matter is we should to believe what the bible says, according to the bible, things are starting to come together for the end of time.

As far as a decline in faith, truth is 60% of all people in church are lost. I agree, there are a lot of Religions that are not trying to lift his name, but the fact of the matter is, as a Christian, it is my duty to LIFT his name, I am just stating in the last 25 years, that children in school have gotten worse, and it is people like you that have gotten prayer out of school and changed the way that things have headed.

I never once said we should force faith, but I also believe that there should be faith allowed in schools as

My hope is that all people will some day realize that dedicating any part of their lives to beliefs in 2,000 year old myths does not make one eternal and does not necessarily add any real meaning to their lives. Sure we have spiritual dimensions to our personalities that are definitely worth exploring, but to think that centuries-old Hebrew or Greek scribbled on some parchment has anthing concrete to say about the Universe is completely disingenuous. There is nothing we need to believe on insufficient evidence, nothing. Take full responsibility for your actions and your life, and what you believe to be true about the world, and find the meaning in your life that is all-too-human and completely only-of-this-world. Embrace your finite-ness and learn to know yourself.

I believe my stance on this issue is clear.

trbingbc,

"" and it is people like you that have gotten prayer out of school and changed the way that things have headed.""

Really? Typical at best and sadly as usual.:( Care to show where I said I didn't want prayer in school? Try again, if enough people REALLY believed and practiced what they preach, IT WOULD BE! And it wouldn't be by force but rather by common desire and a MAJORITY will, LIKE IT USED TO BE! Reckon there is a REAL REASON it isn't today??? When faith RETURNS to our churches and our hearts and is NO LONGER used as a weapon and vehicle, violated for personal and worldly self serving agendas IT WILL RULE AGAIN! When it is no longer on the tip of ones tongue to be used as a shield for bigotry, hate and self serving agendas, and back in ones heart to be used to warm ones souls things will go back to normal! When " WE " no longer accept our houses of worship and the Bible nor the Cross being used as a pulpit for political agendas and self proclaimed SPECIALNESS over others. When " WE " no longer " LET " THE BOOK " be used as a shield while drawing our Cross out of the ground and using it as a weapon against our neighbors for self perceived worldly agendas FALSELY IN HIS NAME, " TRUE FAITH " MIGHT HAVE A CHANCE! Carry on, believe as you see fit, and practice and RESPECT what " THAE ALMIGHTY DESIRES " and what our country was founded upon TRUE FAITH " AND " TO EACH THEIR OWN"! And as for what is being taught in school, is your FAITH so weak you need to totally control the information to your young? Denying REALITY shows a LACK OF FAITH it doesn’t support it!

Denying REALITY show a LACK OF FAITH it doesn’t support it! If you have the right to control the information our kids receive, then you GIVE CREDITABILITY to the argument Christianity is one of the oldest known forms of brain washing and manipulated control over our people. We take our young from BIRTH and control and indoctrinate them through all their young lives “ WITH OUR BELIEFS “ they don’t even have a choice! Good or bad is that not a form of mind control ?? Use your faith as a support tool not a weapon, the outside world has always influenced others, but they only have validity if your actions showing little or no faith GIVE THEM CREDITABILITY!IMHO.

Rusty, I don't know what your beliefs are, but my guess is, you go out drinking every chance you get and then possible call yourself a Christian.

I never once said to force anything, on the contrary. Right now, religion is being FORCED out of school, so how is that any difference. I have my faith, and ovious I am the only one on this subject that does.

I'm going to tell you something, I use to own a very successful nightclub, I didn't drink, but I done all kinds of unethical things, and you know what, God calmed me down. He put me in a situation that only HE could get me out of, and THAT showed me who God is. I wouldn't step back in a bar for any other reason than to witness anymore. I know where you are coming from. I use to believe in evolution, UNTIL, I read the bible. God created man in his image, not the image of some age, and then allowed us to evolve.

So, Rusty, I don't know where you get I am trying to FORCE religion on anyone, God is your choice, but we have taken God out of school, so the kids aren't learning about him anymore, and most don't even know who he is. If you have a bible, read Genesis, and that will tell you how man was created, then read the book of Matthew and that will tell you about Jesus. Taking religion out of school is the worst thing to happen to this country in 60 years.

Again I AM NOT FORCING ANYTHING INTO SCHOOL, just trying to allow for kids to make up their own mind like I was allowed to in school. Even when they took prayer out of school, I was in school at that time, and knew it was wrong.

Just think about thi

tman,

While I respect your right to believe as you see fit, I must ask. How is it you have the right to decide what is right or wrong for others to believe? The ONLY one common truth between us all IMHO, is when we come to the end ALL WILL KNOW THE TRUTH. The problem I have today " BOTH SIDES " demand equality while refusing to give the same to the other, therefore THERE IS NONE FOR EITHER! It is my belief the founding father put things in place that have and still could solve our problems IF WE JUST STILL BELIEVED IN THEM!:(

Much could be settled and avoided if each side understood and respected the values of COMMON SENSE and the "" RIGHTS OF ALL "" to Individual freedoms and Free Will ABOVE ALL OTHERS BELIEFS and or desire REGUARDLESS of how self proclaimed well meaning! No American has the right to be any more special than any other PERIOD! Our laws should be supported with COMMON SENSE " NOT " anybodies beliefs or no beliefs at all! That ends the argument of demanding equality. Neither side can argue against COMMON SENSE. Those of faith can't argue that the Ten Comandments are not common sense, Those of no faith can't either!Murder, Rape etc.. are all violations of common respect of and against another. Laws passed to force other beliefs of MORALITY on to those who believe differently ARE WRONG PERIOD! If there is no victim there is NO CRIME! Laws are meant for the VICTIMS not for ones beliefs in MORALITY OF OTHERS! To each their own and EVERYBODY MIND YOUR OWN DAM* BUSINESS! Live and let live!

When people can realize that is is a FREE country, and this country was founded on Christianity, we might be able to understand our mistakes, I will not, repeat WILL NOT force religion on anyone, I do however carry my son to church every week. I plan on him learning about Jesus Christ, and what happened to him for his beliefs. Because of Jesus' beliefs, he was beat and then crucified. If we aren't careful in the next few years, with the way the world is going, they will start killing all Christians. I myself would be proud to die for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I pray that everyone that reads this feels the same way.

trbingbc,

So in your mind if I drink I'm not Christian, or at least not ENOUGH for you? Thanks for your self proclaimed special ness, and another unmerited attack, " BUT " I'll answer to my maker NOT YOU!:) While your giving Bible lessons. Read Genesis chapter 1 verse 29 thru 31 and justify our pot laws.

You speak of no religion in school, is there not world religion classes? Do we not have every hour our kids are not in school? Do we not have YEARS to teach our beliefs to them BEFORE and WHILE they are in school? The actual time in school is what about 6 hours, with ONE 45 minute class about evolution??? That leaves 18 or 23 hours a day for your faith to have a chance, does it not? Not to mention we have all weekends and days off?? So your so afraid your faith can't handle 45 minutes of science you want 45 minutes of EQUAL TIME, RIGHT! One who demands equality from others WHILE REFUSING it to them DESERVES NONE! Schools are for learning, NOT FORCING others to believe as you do. Have you asked your kids what they think about this argument? Do they feel the needs you do? If your kids are not learning about GOD that is YOUR FAULT, if others kids are not receiving the kind of information you wish, IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!! Spreading the word DOES NOT MEAN FORCE FEEDING IT! You don't want others giving your kids information you don't approve of, YET you feel you have the right to force yours on ALL OTHERS. Can't have it both ways! It is a LIE that you don't have equal time for your faith. If your faith is strong enough 23 hours a day with YEARS of your young having n

I agree, schools are not for forcing, and they are for learning. So why is evolution forced down our childrens throats. And if you read in the bible, drinking to get drunk is a sin, as I mentioned, I am not saying I am faultless, I sin every day, and you are right you will be the one to answer for it, not me. But we never know when Jesus will return, so as long as we are teaching them things that arent true, they won't have a chance if say He comes back today or tomorrow, because we don't know the day or hour he will return. What part of I'm not saying FORCE FEED do you not understand, it is the fact that false information is being forced on them.

According to the bible, we don't know the day or the hour when Jesus will return.
I am not forcing you to read this, I am just stating my opion, and hoping someone will realize that Jesus Christ is our Lord and savior, and giving my opinion, did you get that OPINION, on the subject of Religion taken out of school. I pray you find Jesus, and I meet you in Heaven some day, because Hell is not going to be a fun place for anyone, and satan wants as much company as he can find.

Someone once asked me, what if I am wrong, ok, if I am , I have still lived a moral life, unlike a lot of people in this world.

Jesus is real, and I believe that, and I hope others will realize it from this blog. God Bless you and all that read this.

trbingbc,

That's the neat thing about AMERICA believe as you wish.:) As for me and my beliefs I'M WILLING to meet my maker, without your blessings or self proclaimed right to approval of me, THANKS ANY WAY.:) How it you failed to respond to the OVERWHELMING hours and YEARS you have against the 45 minutes of sience? How is it you quoate the Bible to me, then refuse to answer a Bible guestion put to you? BROTHER I believe we have went about as far as we can, don't you? The truth is this country provides an education to ALL children using common funds from all to do so. If you want to control the information your kids recieve, then put them in a private school that believes as you do. This country is made up of the PUBLIC meaning all believers and non believers of ALL KINDS. That is why you have PUBLIC schools because it wouldn't be AMERICAN to show special status to one over the other, would it!:)

Rusty,

I don't know your beliefs, and I pray I am wrong, but as far as the 45 minutes go, well, it isn't that we don't give the kids 45 minutes for God, it is that we are teaching them something that isn't true, and you are right, I guess this country is made up of a bunch of idiots that think God shouldn't come first, well, I am here to tell you that is wrong, to believe in evolution. That is a false teaching. God is where we came from not apes

While your welcome to your OPINION, thankfully our founding father gave us all the SAME RIGHTS!:) Even those who don't agree with each other as well as those who self proclaim to be more special than other Americans, NEITHER has any more rights than ," OR OVER "the other, AS IT SHOULD BE! I don't NEED any special status or the approval of ANYBODY OR GOVERNMENT to tell me who comes first, WHY DO YOU??? If your faith isn't strong enough to keep your kids from believing what you don't want them to, why not? You see for me I don't doubt either, I KNOW who created BOTH.:) You see the ALMIGHTY doesn't create JUNK, wheither it be apes or man or sience, " HE " does things for a reason ONLY KNOWN TO " HIM". Faith is trusting in " HIM " NOT trying to claim one has the ONLY right way, or the right they have the ONLY RIGHT to speak for " HIM " or " HIS " plan.:) Our founding fathers were right in following " HIS " lead, TO EACH THEIR OWN for each KNEW who would be the final judge! Live YOUR life, and let others have the same GOD GIVEN AND AMERICAN RIGHT to do the same.:)

I don't know how you got the idea I was trying to force anything on you, my job to witness to others so the to can know that Jesus Christ is our savior, I can't force anybody to do anything, if that were the case my oldest son would be in church, so you see, I don't have a desire to force anyone to do what they don't want to, however, I do believe that taking Christ out of our schools was the wrong thing to do, you have expressed your opinion for two days against have religion in school, well what about those of us including children that WANT him in school. Unfortunately, you are speaking for the majority right now, but there will be a time we all have to answer for our actions, I would just like for as many people to be with me when I go to heaven, I don't want anyone to think I am forcing anything down there throat. God will take care of the onces that don't believe. Oh, and by the way, I haven't heard you mention Jesus Christ as your savior one time, do you mind if I ask? Have you accepting our Lord Jesus.

You lack the ability to carry an honest conversation, WHY? You are correct I am against anything that FORCES others to give up their INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS AND FREE WILL, that is every AMERICANS DUTY! You are correct it is NON OF YOUR BUSINESS, but to put and end to your attempted BS, I was Baptized as a young man over 40 years ago, does that fit your QUALIFICATION? You see my Jesus Christ NEEDS NO FALSE SELF SERVING CHEERLEADERS! You would do well to do what you believe is correct and not judge others by you perception of what the " ALMIGHTY " want us to do! You see I don't need a GRANDSTAND for my beliefs, or a need to prove them to ANYBODY! That’s not the faith I was taught.:) Like I said I must not be ENOUGH CHRISTIAN by your standards and judgment, SO BE IT! Have a nice life. LOL

I am a 40 yr old white retired male. I was forced to retire for health reasons. God has blessed my life tremendously, I have a 4 year old son and a 20 year old son. I am a photographer, and a born again Christian. On occasion, I do preach sermons at my church. I am also a puppeteer for children's church, and have been for about 2 or 3 years. My youngest son everyone says is going to be our churches next pastor. I love him so much. My oldest son is living with his fiance now. He has decided to get married next march, and that makes me sad since I was his age when I got married, and that didn't work. I do hope that it works out. I love both my sons very much, and my love for my children makes me understand the love God has for us. I may not be the perfect person, but I work for someone that is perfect (Jesus).
