Last month, my brother died 1 week before the anniversary of my fathers death.  My father died of cancer, and so did my brother.  I was very excited right after he got sick, because he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, and when he done that, I was content with him dying because I knew he was going to heaven.  I have been having a tough time since his death thought because I miss him. I was accepting of his death also because of John 11 where it says in vs 1, "Now a certain man was sick, named Lazaus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and sister Martha." In vs 2, "(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whos brother Lazarus was sick.) In vs 3, "Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.  In vs 4, When Jesus heard that , he said, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby."  Later in John 11, verses 25 & 26 the bible says: Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he hat believeth in me, thogh he were dead, yet shal he live." Another words, even though Lazarus was dead, he believed in Jesus, so he will have eternal lfe.  In verse 26, Jesus said, "And whosoever believeth in me shall never die.  Believest thou this?"  Jesus was saying that as slng as we believe in im we will live forever in heaven.  Later on in verse 32, Mary said to Jesus, "Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died."  Another words, Mary was saying that if he had gotten to Lazarus sooner, he would hve lived.  Mary was having her doubts about what Jesus was able to do.  Jesus loved Lazarus like a brother, he loved him so much that in verse 34 he said, "where have ye laid him?"  They said unto him, Lord, come and see.  And in verse 35, which is the shortest verse in the bible, "Jesus wept."  Jesus goes on later in that chapter to raise Lazarus from the dead.  Jesus can do that to all of us, we just have to believe.  He also goes on to say said I not unto thee, that if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God."  In Lamens terms, if you believe in your heart, Jesus is the son of God, and have faith in HIM, He can heal you, and he will.  It may not be the way you want to be healed, but he will heal you, whether it is here on in heaven.

I am sorry to hear about your brother, I know the sadness you feel with such a loss, I lost mine as well. Loss is difficult, no matter how strong a Christian you are...God made us all human with tears and emotions, he also gave us the beautiful gift of love and it hurts when we lose the ones we love. Stay strong in your faith and know, this loss is but temporary, you will see your brother and your father again.

Thank you two tickets, I appreciate your concerns for me. It was difficult at first until I realized he isn't sick anymore, and he is in heaven with Jesus, so I am happy for him.

trbingbc I'm sorry for your loss too.

It is always hard to give up those we love, but they are in a place so much better then we are.

trbingbc, I am deeply sorry to hear about your loss. There is comfort in knowing they are worshiping around the Throne of God. One day we will worship with them in that Glorious City. Blessings to you.

I am a 40 yr old white retired male. I was forced to retire for health reasons. God has blessed my life tremendously, I have a 4 year old son and a 20 year old son. I am a photographer, and a born again Christian. On occasion, I do preach sermons at my church. I am also a puppeteer for children's church, and have been for about 2 or 3 years. My youngest son everyone says is going to be our churches next pastor. I love him so much. My oldest son is living with his fiance now. He has decided to get married next march, and that makes me sad since I was his age when I got married, and that didn't work. I do hope that it works out. I love both my sons very much, and my love for my children makes me understand the love God has for us. I may not be the perfect person, but I work for someone that is perfect (Jesus).
