You know, people are complaining about the price of gas, and while the gas was high, I didn't see anyone driving around, now that gas has gone down a little, the streets are packed with people.  If we don't stop driving around, gas will go right back up.  Has anyone ever heard of demand causing price to go up.  If we are forced to put more gas in our cars, the price of gas will go right back up, and there we will be again.

It is supply & demand that makes a free capitalism economy work. The problem with gas is for the last 30 yr our own government has done MUCH to prevent drilling & the building of refinery's here, thus curtailing supply. Add that to the fact that China and other 3rd world countries now have a large increase in demand, there's a bigger problem of supply.
Obama's answer is to inflate - but "We can't inflate our way out of this problem!"

We must DRILL FOR OIL. Increase supply and stop punishing American's.

That's not and entirely true assessment of supply and demand. Notice that when we even THREATEN to drill more here the price drops $20/barrel. China and India (places where a growing economy is important still) subsidize their oil so people can afford more of it. Here we tax it to death and wonder why the price is so high.

Anybody know where Pelosi will be doing her book tour? Sure wish she would come to Texas so I could douse her with about 12qts from my diesel p/u's last oil change. Wait minute I forgot she's a coward.

Can someone remind me what the U.S. is preserving their oil reserves for? When do these guys plan to use this oil?

From a christian's perspective, I've heard that this planet may not make it another 100 years before god retakes control. So does the U.S. plan to use it after the rapture or is the oil reserve gonna be the lake of fire where the evil people will burn? Heck I don't knonw. someone fill me in.

What the heck is the U.S. waiting for? I bought groceries this weekend and I almost always get the same items every month except my bill was almost twice as high. This domino effect gas prices is causing is digging deeper into my pocket than I had realized.

Oh, I forgot to add, even if fuel has gone down a few cents, gas prices still suck!!!

I agree with chard. Oil is not part of the so called free market thanks to the muslims.

The strategic oil reserves are for an emergency. It is what, 70 million barrels. We use what 700 million barrels per day. That would be stupid. We need to drill drill drill.

Yea so I heard. Between them and China they will buy it all. We need to drill now and make it illegal to export one drop.

Well then, can someone get a hold of the professor from Giligan's Island. I'm sure he can come up with some alternative fuel.

I hear that the finds of oil in North Dakota & Montana may be the largest ever !

Now, if they can just get it drilled, before some wacko declared it "OFF LIMITS" !

I agree 100% with all of you, we need to drill, not let it waste away, and become coal. After all, that is all coal is, oil. If we keep waiting, there will be no oil to drill, but we will be able to dig up plenty of coal.

That all sounds good, PackerBacker, but then Gilligan...er, I mean Obama would just come along and screw it all up.

I am a 40 yr old white retired male. I was forced to retire for health reasons. God has blessed my life tremendously, I have a 4 year old son and a 20 year old son. I am a photographer, and a born again Christian. On occasion, I do preach sermons at my church. I am also a puppeteer for children's church, and have been for about 2 or 3 years. My youngest son everyone says is going to be our churches next pastor. I love him so much. My oldest son is living with his fiance now. He has decided to get married next march, and that makes me sad since I was his age when I got married, and that didn't work. I do hope that it works out. I love both my sons very much, and my love for my children makes me understand the love God has for us. I may not be the perfect person, but I work for someone that is perfect (Jesus).
