TuckeredPup's Blog

I have not written a blog at all this year.
But I am baffled by something and I wanted to see how the blogging community here would respond to my observation.

Years ago when Rupert Murdoch announced that he would create the "Fourth Top Network called FOX", he was laughed at by the top 3.
Well he did it and now 10+ years later we have Fox 4 "The News Station" with more daily local news than any other local station!

Now Fox 4 is being laughed at by some of its most loyal viewers such as I.
The reason you ask, well a few months ago they replaced the Studio cameras and I want to know what backwards looking fellow decided not to purchase HD Cameras! HELLO!

While Fox 4 has more local news, they are THE ONLY local station that DOES NOT Broadcast its news in HD!

Lately I have found myself gravitating to other local stations for my news so I can take full advantage of my 60" DLP!

Whoever is in charge of the news department should bounce the person that made the BONEHEAD decision to pass on HD cameras!!!

He and Michael Hinojosa can get in the un-employment line together!!!

Let me know how you feel out there!!

I have listened to the phone conversation with Ms. Ceballos.
After many years of dealing with people I have developed a keen sense of when someone is lying and in my opinion it is clear that this woman IS a liar.
She clearly stated at the beginning of the call that they did "WHATEVER IT TOOK" to win.

When a child of six is asked to write an essay it is expected that the work done will be truthful.
It is only when a conniving adult gets involved does it become a DECEITFUL LIE.

So many children are grieving the loss of a parent in Iraq and Afghanistan to use this profoundly life changing experience to "WIN BY DOING WHATEVER IT TAKES" is probably the most despicable lie a person could tell.

Ms. Ceballos says 'No one asked", that makes this a lie by omission which in of itself proves an INTENT TO DEFRAUD.

She has done her daughter a terrible disservice by her actions and I believe she should be investigated further to see what else shakes out, what other fraud may she be involved in welfare maybe who knows unless WE ASK right Ms. Cabellos.

You ARE a despicable liar and you do not understand your responsibility to society to raise your child with proper morals.
But in your defense, I guess it is hard to teach that which you do not have!

This morning I saw the "Street Squad" report on the shifting soil on 114 in Las Colinas.

I was struck by the TxDot Representative Kelli Petras, While I am sure she is qualified for the job MY GOD she looks like she just graduated from High School!

I guess I am used to seeing the grizzled faces of structural engineers that have spent too much time in the sun!

Not some pretty young lady that looks like she just got her braces out!

For some reason I didn't feel to confident in her assertion that the road is safe, Maybe if it came from one of those grizzled old faces I am used to seeing.

You know old f@rts like me!

No offense meant to Ms. Petras it was just an eye opening moment that was triggered by a pretty face in an unfamiliar setting!

Dang! I MUST be getting old!

I didn't write this but I AGREE whole heartedly!

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job.

I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test, with which I have no problem.

What I Do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who Don't have to pass a urine test.

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.

I Do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their bottoms, doing drugs, while I work...

Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

Exactly what are you protesting?

Here we have a city that takes the motto to protect and serve seriously.

In doing so they have made it a policy to check the immigration status of anyone they arrest.

Lets look at this carefully.

People they ARREST!

This means criminals, now granted they are innocent until proven guilty according to our laws.

However when it is discovered that they are here illegally that goes out the window.

Illegal Immigrants are not protected under our laws so the city of Irving has every right to deport them.

Obviously these Illegals did not read the pamphlet the Mexican Government put out on how to avoid being caught when in the USA illegally.

So now we have people protesting the deportation of Illegal Immigrants that are involved in negative contact with the police in high crime areas.

So the protesters are objecting to the Police in Irving doing there job?

We are required to provide ID to a Police officer if he requests it regardless of the reason for the request so what makes them special?

Oh yeah they are here illegally!

I understand that the Mexican Consul has advised his people to avoid Irving.

Sounds like the plan is working to me.

Now when are the other cities in this great state going to grow a backbone and do the same!?

I am seriously considering moving to Irving!

Oh and if you agree with me see my previous blog on how to STOP this problem at the border!

There have been a lot of Ideas about how to curtail the flow of illegal immigrants across our Southern border.

Some good some not so good.

If I am correct much of the border land is privately owned or undeveloped land belonging to the government.

We don't need no stinking fence, all that will do is require someone to maintain and more importantly monitor it.

What we need is a 700 mile long and 1/4 mile wide MINE FIELD along the border.

Of course we will put up signs in english only warning of these mine fields.

Then all we need to do is once a month replace the ones that popped and clean up whatever the buzzards left.

I think after a few of the mines go off you will find the flow of Illegal Immigrants stop and we can concentrate on the ones already here.

Oh and I am in favor of changing the law so that people will stop coming here to have their babies just to get to stay here!

This may be a radical idea but nobody can say it wouldn't work to deter these people from coming here illegally.

Mr. Hicks,

I think I speak for many people when I say that it is way past time for the Jon Daniels experiment to come to an end.

He has stripped your team of some of it's best  technical not to mention TEAM players for marginal players and MINOR league prospects.

How much more must we take.

I for one have deleted all the game reminders in Outlook because I have lost faith in Jon Daniels and your decision making.

I hope you can repair the damage that's been done.

Sincerely,

Porter Thompson

I am loving this weather.

A July without a 100 degree day is like 27 of 31 days without sunshine! :-)

I just hope Mother Nature doesn't make us pay in August and September.

Over the past few weeks I have been puzzled by something.

Except for a couple of days a week or so ago the weather dept. has consistently reported the pool level at Possum Kingdom in the negative as in below standard pool level.

If those numbers have been correct then WHY did they have 3 and for a short time 4 flood gates open dumping 12,000,000 gallons a minute over the dam into the Brazos river.

Those poor people at the "Waterline formerly Skyline trailer park" would probably like to know also.

I feel great sorrow for Ms. Williams the lady whose son died in Duck Creek in Garland.

Ma'am you have my condolences.

I understand that at this time you are angry, but HOW DARE YOU blame the rescue personell for not doing enough.

Dozens of men and women risked their lives looking for your son long after any rational person would have given him up for dead.

You owe them your gratitude and a SINCERE apology.

If he couldn't swim he should have been nowhere near water!

As his mother you should have DRILLED that into his head.

It wouldn't surprise me if you tried to sue the city, I saw those dollar signs in your eyes.

This was an unfortunate accident, but if anyone should be blamed it's YOU for not supervising him well enough.

So forget about placing blame and get on with taking care of what is left of your family.

I just heard that they released Paris Hilton, I did not hear why.

I can only assume it was for "Good Behavior".

My questions are:

What kind of "Good Behavior" and did they tape it?!

But in reality which this girl obviously is oblivious to she will never understand that you have to pay for bad behavior.

I only hope that the next time she drives drunk the only person she possibly kills or injures is herself.

Last week my Corgi puppy Tucker came in second for pet of the week.

I would like to thank all of you who participated and especially those who voted for Tucker.

This week it would seem that the same thing that happened with the singing contest has happened again.

Last week there were around 900 votes cast for pet of the week.

As of yesterday there were around 2700 votes with Daisy Duke strongly in the lead with around 60% of the vote.

I just checked again and now there are over 41600 votes with Chewbacca in the lead by 93%!

Almost 39000 votes overnight!

Is it just me or does something smell funny here like Chewbacca hasn't had a bath in a while!

As I said in my blog about the singing contest  a few months ago, someone is rolling IP numbers and voting at a set interval.

Knowledge is power as long as you know the difference between right and wrong.

Sure I wanted Tucker to win but there is no honor in a victory not earned.

The purpose of this memo is to announce the development of a new plant-wide software system. We are currently building a data warehouse that will contain all plant manufacturing data. The program is referred to as the "Manufacturing Information Access Software System" (MI@SS).

Next Monday at 0900 there will be a meeting in which I will display MI@SS. We will continue to hold demonstrations throughout the month so that all employees will have an opportunity to get a good look at MI@SS. As for the status of the implementation of the program, I have not addressed the networking aspects yet, so currently only one person can be in MI@SS at a time. This should change as MI@SS expands.

Several people are using the program already and have come to depend on it. Just this morning, I walked into a subordinate's office and was not surprised to find that he had his nose buried in MI@SS. I've noticed, though, that some of the less technical personnel are somewhat afraid of MI@SS.

Just last week, when asked to enter some information into the program, I had a secretary say to me, "I'm nervous; I've never put anything in MI@SS before." I volunteered to help her through her first time, and when we were done she admitted that it was relatively painless and that she was actually looking forward to doing it again. She went so far as to say that after using SAP and Oracle, she was ready to kiss MI@SS.

I know that there are some concerns over the virus that was found in MI@SS upon initial installation, but I am pleased to say that the virus has been eliminated and we were able to save MI@SS. In the future, however, protection will be required prior to entering MI@SS.

We planned this database to encompass all information associated with business, so as you begin using the program, feel free to put anything you want into MI@SS.

As MI@SS grows larger, we envision a time when it will be commonplace to walk by an office and see a manager hand a paper to an employee and say, "Here, stick this in MI@SS."

The program has already demonstrated great benefit to the company during recent OSHA, ISO, EPA and FDA audits. After requesting certain historical data, the agency representatives were amazed at how quickly we provided the information. When asked how the numbers could be retrieved so rapidly, our Environmental Manager proudly stated, "Simple -- I just pulled them out of MI@SS."

We all love the Geico Caveman, well most of us do.

Here is a link to some good mindless fun.

There are things to do in every room, be patient when it comes to content loading.

Ex. When listening to his answering machine.

You can play dress up in his bedroom just click on the clothes tree first then choose from the bed, Mix and Match!

You can mess with him in the shower, El Rojo noticed that you can flush the toilet.

She recommends you do it several times in a row!

"Take responsibility for your actions."

We were all taught that as children, I thought.

I saw the story this morning where a six year old kindergartner was arrested for a felony and 2 misdemeanors when she attacked a teacher and administrator at her school.

The arrest was not made until the Police determined that the girl would not calm down and co-operate with them.

Now the Mother is raising heck and calling the NAACP for help.

WHAT!

Maybe she should have talked to her pastor YEARS ago about helping with this problem child.

OR

She should have taught the child to respect her elders then she wouldn't be sitting in Juvy Hall this morning.

And YES I said problem child, unless she was born in Sept. or later a 6 year old should be in the first grade not Kindergarten.

She has obviously been taught that the answer to a problem is violence, she needs counseling and the courts will step in where the parent FAILED and provide that.

I am so sick of people with P!SS poor parenting skills blaming everyone but the one at fault themselves.

"Take responsibility for your actions."

What is so hard to understand?

I have been married for 28 years (to the same lady) we have 2 kids 24 and 20. Our dog Goliath has his own My Space page so check him out! We enjoy Movies and collect DVD's. We like to BBQ and often drive the neighbors nuts cooking a Brisket. (22 Hours in the smoker.) My wife and I run a cleaning service and if you have been Good Day viewers for awhile you might remember when people were running off with Tim Ryan's Pen we sent him a large envelope full of our pens. He actually showed one on the air.
