I have always loved that song and really loved the opportunity to hear it again. Can you refresh my memory on who sings it? Thank!

Tell me, was it Bufffalo Springfield? That's my guess.

It's A Beautiful Day was founded mid-1967 in the San Francisco, California Bay Area. The original lineup featured David LaFlamme (vocals-violin), Patti Santos (vocals), Val Fuentes (drums), Linda LaFlamme (David's first wife--keyboards), Hal Wagenet (guitar), and Mitchell Holman (bass).
The band, opened for such well known acts as The Grateful Dead, The Jefferson Airplane, Big Brother and The Holding Company (Janis Joplin's band), and performed at Cream's farewell appearance.
In 1969, the group released the self-titled album, It's A Beautiful Day, and enjoyed their greatest success with the song White Bird.

Pattie Santos
Nov 16 1949 - Dec 14 1989

You could say that Pattie Santos was the original It’s A Beautiful Day member. The manager, whose name shall not be mentioned, discovered her working as a check-out clerk in a grocery store when she was about 17 and was in the process of forming a back up band for her when the David and Linda Laflamme got involved with the project.
Her vocals, exotic looks, and long brunette hair paired with David’s vocals, violin, and long blond hair gave the group a great front for their music. Pattie along with Val were the only members to remain in the band to the very end.
Her singing career continued with Bud Cockrell for a few years and she later retired from music to raise purebred dogs before her untimely death in 1989. She was voted best female vocalist of 1968
