'Twas The Night Before The Elections
'Twas the night before elections
And all through the town
Tempers were flaring
Emotions all up and down!
I, in my bathrobe
With a cat in my lap
Had cut off the TV
Tired of political crap.
When all of a sudden
There arose such a noise
I peered out of my window
Saw Obama and his boys
They had come for my wallet
They wanted my pay
To give to the others
Who had not worked a day!
He snatched up my money
And quick as a wink
Jumped back on his bandwagon
As I gagged from the stink
He then rallied his henchmen
Who were pulling his cart
I could tell they were out
To tear my country apart!
" On Fannie, on Freddie,
On Biden and Ayers!
On Acorn, On Pelosi"
He screamed at the pairs!
They took off for his cause
And as he flew out of sight
I heard him laugh at the nation
Who wouldn't stand up and fight!
So I leave you to think
On this one final note-
IF YOU DONT WANT SOCIALISM
GET OUT AND VOTE!!!!

I only have a few rules on my blogs; no name calling and no slandering with unsubstantiated remarks the opinions of others. Do this and I will immediately delete you. Honest opinions (and say that they are), and facts are welcomed here.
Blog Topic: Shot In The Fannie....Mae
* Fannie Mae is a Government Sponsored Entity regulated by Congress
* Fannie Mae buys mortgages from other companies
* It is backed by the taxpayers for all losses, but keeps all profits
* President Clinton loosens Home Loan requirements
* Banks being making thousands of bad loans, 0 down, no documentation, for 120% (1998-2008)
* Executives at Fannie receive huge bonuses if loan targets are met
* Franklin Raines and Jamie Garelick from the Clinton Administration are appointed to run Fannie Mae
*President Bush proposes a new oversight committee to clean up Fannie Mae, but Democrats derail the effort
Representive Melvyn Watt, (D-NC) Committee on Financial Institutions & Consumer Credit stated, "I don't see much other than weakening the bargaining power poorer families to get affordable housing."
* Raines earns $100 million in bonuses
* Garelick earns $75 million in bonuses
* In 2004, Enron collapses, congress investigates, executives Skilling & Lay go to jail, for fraudulent bookkeeping
* Congress responds with the Sorbanes-Oxley Act, more heavy regulation of corporations
* An OMB investigation finds massive fraudulent bookkeeping at Fannie Mae
* False numbers triggered executive bonuses every year
* Congress holds no hearings, no one goes to jail, or is punished-WHY NOT?
* Fannie Mae gives millions to Democratic causes, examples: Jesse Jackson & ACORN
FANNIE MAE PAYS MILLIONS TO 354 CONGRESSMEN AND SENATORS, FROM BOTH PARTIES....WHO GOT THE MOST MONEY?
#1-Sen. Christopher Dodd, (D-CT) Chairman of the Banking, Housing & Urban Affairs Committee
#2-Sen. Barack Obama, (D-IL) Federal Financial Management Committee
#3-Sen. Chuck Schumer, (D=NY) Chairman of the Finance Committee
#4-Representative Barney Frank-(D-MA) Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee
* Raines and top execs are forced to resign from Fannie Mae, but, they do not go to jail, there is no media "perp. walk", they KEEP all of their bonuses, and they finally pay $31.4 million in civil fines. (Look back up at what they received in bonuses)
LONG & SHORT OF IT:
* Raines is now an advisor to the Obama Campaign, WHICH wants the govt. to take over more of the economy.

My View:
If you want to "spread the wealth around" (O'Bama) and continue to support those that leech on society, VOTE for this man!
I stand behind individualism, creating your own wealth through hard work and enterprise, and a government that serves the WILL of the people.

ER, AW, AH, ER..PROLONGED...there was not one subject that he didn't deflect the actual question and jump off to another idea. Blame BUSH, blame everyone else. I've said it before, but again I'll digress, I'm neither Republican or Democrat, but folks O'Bama is scarey.
O'Bama looks more attractive on stage; he's young. What everyone forgets is that McCain's hands and upper body were horribly wounded as a POW.
Everyone McCain was not my first choice, but I'll vote with our military...McCain. They don't want any part of O'Bama, and I can say this because my daughter is a Lt. in the Navy, and she is in charge of Hospital Administration. She asks other military what their thoughts are, and the man/woman of our military forces-they know that O'Bama doesn't support them. Their vote is for McCain..
It's pretty obvious that Texas will go McCain, my question to any that read this is, "how do we reach out and convince others?"
I know for certain that Military isn't responding to polls-they don't have time. But, I want to save America...how do we do that?
O'Bama scares the poop out of me! And FormerGOP, and Strumpet, I just don't want your comments, unless in true debate form.. If name calling starts or stupid comments, I will delete. SO much for freedom of speech. You add anything that is meaningful, your comments will stay,

Well folks, it appears that the "Bail-Out / Rescue" has passed. I am just heart sick at that development. What a blatant slap in the face for the American people.
Washington is just out of CONTROL! Don't know about the rest of you, but those that voted yes for this monstrosity will never get a vote for office from me.

Well, those doubters, she held her own. I must admit her winks sorta annoyed me, but her overall demeanor was engrossing. She has one very real advantage-her inexperience. She can't be called down for past votes, she can't be called down for gaffes, she can't be called down for flip-flopping.
It was obvious to me that Biden just wasn't sure what she was going to say, and I loved it. I'm ready to see the entire political scene replaced with people like Palin.
While, we all have our opinions, and I've seen some play-ground behavior out here in blog land; I bet if push-came-to-shove, we'd all agree that none of us are happy with where we are now, and would love to see real change. No more promises. Show me by your actions what you will do. Back up your promises. Only new, fresh, "inexperienced" only in being a non-politico, will this country have a true voice. Let's take our country back folks. If the vote by the Senate didn't send you a message; I'll say it-we are being ignored.

The only reason I can see that the Senate passed this ridiculous bill was that they were hoping that Congress would make it go away.
If not, they just sold America down the tubes!
i am personally furious!
Have y'all read what they tacked onto this Bill? It's rape!

Three men that directly contributed to our current fiasco.
Franklin Raines was a Chairman and Chief
Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to
retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing
discovered severe irregulaties in Fannie Mae's
accounting activities. At the time of his departure The Wall
Street Journal noted, " Raines, who long defended the
company's accounting despite mounting evidence that it
wasn't proper, issued a statement late Tuesday conceding
that "mistakes were made" and saying he would assume
responsibility as he had earlier promised. News reports
indicate the company was under growing pressure from
regulators to shake up its management in the wake of
findings that the company's books ran afoul of generally
accepted accounting principles for four years." Fannie
Mae had to reduce its surplus by $9 billion.
Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million
in benefits. The Government filedsuit against Raines when
the depth of the accounting scandal became clear.
http://housingdoom.com/2006/12/18/fannie-charges/>
The Government noted, "The 101 charges reveal how the
individuals improperly manipulated earnings to maximize
their bonuses, while knowingly neglecting accounting systems
and internal controls, misapplying over twenty accounting
principles and misleading the regulator and the public. The
notice explains how they submitted six years of misleading
and inaccurate accounting statements and inaccurate capital
reports that enabled them to grow Fannie Mae in an unsafe
and unsound manner." These charges were made in 2006.
The Court ordered Raines to return $50 Million Dollars he
received in bonuses based on the miss-stated Fannie Mae
profits.
Tim Howard - Was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae.
Howard "was a strong internal proponent of using accounting
strategies that would ensure a "stable pattern of earnings"
at Fannie. In everyday English - he was cooking the books.
The Government Investigation determined that, "Chief Financial
Officer, Tim Howard, failed to provide adequate oversight to
key control and reporting functions within Fannie Mae,".
On June 16, 2006, Rep. Richard Baker, R-La., asked the Justice
Department to investigate his allegations that two former
Fannie Mae executives lied to Congress in October 2004 when
they denied manipulating the mortgage-finance giant's income
statement to achieve
management pay bonuses. Investigations by
federal regulators and the company's board of directors since
concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger
bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004.
Howard's Golden Parachute was estimated at $20 Million!
Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and
who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO.
A look at the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight's
May 2006 report on mismanagement and corruption inside Fannie
Mae, and you'll see some interesting things about Johnson.
Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount
of son's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was
between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21
million." Johnson is currently under investigation
for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as
CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated
at $28 Million.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
FRANKLIN RAINES? Raines works for the Obama Campaign
as Chief Economic Advisor
TIM HOWARD? Howard is also a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama
JIM JOHNSON? Johnson hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor
and was selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee
IF OBAMA PLANS ON CLEANING UP THE MESS -
HIS ADVISORS HAVE THE EXPERTISE - THEY MADE THE MESS IN THE
FIRST PLACE. Would you trust the men who tore Wall Street
down to build the New Wall Street ?

Pray for them to resist a spirit of FEAR and to embrace WISDOM. Even if you don't like them or agree with them, pray for them and tell them you are praying for them. There is a spirit over this problem that must be broken. Also, most of the media personalities are afraid as well and that is affecting their reporting. Pray for fear to be removed from them; they are making this worse.
Send The Common Sense Fix to your Representatives and Senators and tell them how you expect them to vote, and that if they put this nation in $700 billion of debt, that you will vote them out. It's their job to listen to us! (Whichever presidential candidate or political party that champions this plan from their leadership down will likely become the next president. That is because this plan fixes the crisis while going along with the wishes of the vast majority of Americans.)

Send a link to this page to everyone in your address book and tell them to urgently follow these 3 steps TODAY. The more people we have supporting this and contacting their elected leaders, the more likely we can turn our economy around!

Nice work — if you can get fired from it.
That's just what one Alan H. Fishman might have thought when he woke up Friday morning.
Fishman was the new chief executive officer for Washingon Mutual — WaMu — the nation's largest savings and loan, which was taken over Thursday night by federal bank regulators and quickly dumped in a fire sale to JPMorgan Chase for the Wal-Mart-like price of $1.9 billion.
But don't cry for Fishman, who reportedly was sky-high — literally — last night, on a flight from New York to Seattle, when WaMu collapsed. Even though he's only been on the job for less than three weeks, he's bailing out with parachute worth close to $20 million, according to an executive compensation analysis conducted for the New York Times by James F. Reda Associates.
That's right, $20 million for 17 days on the job ... and his company failed.
Fishman, who formerly was chairman of Meridian Capital Group, apparently was much coveted by WaMu, which was counting on him to lead the failing thrift out of mortgage troubles that pushed the bank to a $3.3 billion second-quarter loss.
According to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, WaMu threw a $7.5 million bonus at Fishman when it hired him on Sept. 8, and guaranteed him an immediate cash severence of $11.6 million — both of which he gets to keep.
He also was eligible for annual bonuses of up to 365 percent of his annual base pay — set at $1 million — to go with millions of shares of company stock.
Fishman does lose out on a big bonus that would have kicked in had he remained on the job through 2009.
Documents show WaMu was going to pay their new boss $8 million to simply not screw up and get fired — all negotiated as the Seattle-based banking giant's loses climbed to an estimated $20 billion

Well, at least newest picture of Hinojosa (sp?) isn't smiling in most recent picture, but still NO excuse for his oversight! I will stand on my position and my anger...what's up with him staying , or the accounting group, and anyone that had a hand in this mess.
Leads to my next statement; if truly only teachers that are non-spanish speaking are let go, I personally will rebel-rouse and if no one follows, I'll be at every City Hall meeting. I've never done this before, but I am just finally that MAD! I don't think I'm a loner in these feelings, especially those of us from here. I see a huge amount of incensed folks here; let's figure out how to make that viable.
National Crisis: let the bastards sink. My solution; take the funds you want to allocate to cover mistakes by so-called "experts" /Big Business, and apply them to covering the real population that will be affected by AIG's failure. They have lists of customers that have Life Insurance Policies with them, and companies that have Ppofit Sharing plans set up. Negotiate with other, viable, insurance companies on the Life Insurance policies, and just flat pay-out the pension funds, with absolutely NO penalties! The American population has suffered enough at the hands of BIG Business in the back-rooms with Government/Politicians. You want to be re-elected; approach this problem with Americans in mind. NO ONE that created this mess should be rewarded. I don't care what their contracts say; they violated public trustand all ethics, that should be enough reason to send them backing with nothing; better take them to court and make sure that they can never do this again. Ever! Jail them or send them to the poor-house!
Lastly, Dallasites and surrounding...please make the effort to email or call the Dallas City Council and ask them why they have cow-towed to La Raza. Make them aware that it is their core base that actually contributes to their campaigns, and still can make a difference. If they want votes, they are going about it the entire wrong way. We may not have welfare babies, anchor babies, and a centralized voice, BUT we are still the majority, and don't discount us.
I'm just saying....

There is a very simple way to assist those remaining on our coast and those who evacuted. Tom Thumb, Kroger, and Albertson's are part of a food drive for the North Texas Food Bank.
At Tom Thumb they have made it very easy; they already have sacked groceries, priced from $13 to $16 that you can purchase. Not sure how the other two are doing it, but probably something along the same line.
It's a way to help those who truly need our assistance.

i just hope everyone watched their speeches. Rudy totally knocked it out-of-the ballpark and Sarah kicked arse!
Rudy is equal to Bama's presentation acumen in every way (except McCain/Palin can back up what they say ) in every way and Sarah is just very committed. She spoke from her heart and that was extremely apparent.
Those who don't agree/like/choose these , (just my opinion), you need to rethink-quickly.
Truthfully, the is the first time that I have ever committed to any party/platform, but I'm there!
Okay, Char-where are you? LMBO.

Personally speaking I think she is a wonderful choice. I just finished reading her bio and she seems "no-nonsense" and very ethical.
Anyone think that she will be the answer for the remaining disgruntled Hilary Pink Ladies?
