FIREARMS REFRESHER COURSE

BCN) SAN FRANCISCO A number of Mayor Gavin Newsom's proposed gun control measures passed through the San Francisco Board of Supervisors' public safety committee Monday.

The proposal would prohibit the possession and sale of firearms on county property, require that handguns in homes are stored in locked containers, and increase regulatory requirements on gun dealers, the mayor's office said.

The bill will next go to the full Board for a final vote.
This is dated july 9th but I can't find an update, anyway, I think putting the 'gun in a locked container' will make it hard to get to for self protection, don't you?

Willie = that bill would add another step to opening my front door !

With all the home invasions going on, now I'd have to unlock my gun cabinet, THEN get my gun, and check the front door !!!!!!

I agree if you own a gun you should store it anywhere you see fit. I keep mine in a locked case only because I have kids or it would be in the nightstand.

If you will remember the last couple of months, several home owners HAVE NOT kept them in lockers, and bad guys got shot, with no ramifications. GUNS DONT KILL PEOPLE, PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE.

Willie, this is a GREAT post!!!

I don't like guns myself. I am, however, an excellent marksman! My gun is my Bible and the truth it contains. But, if I were to decide to purchase a gun, no one and no government would take it away! Plain and simple. Come and get it, socialist control freaks!

One of the big difference between the U.S. and oppressed country's is those countries aren't allowed to own guns. How easy for the Hitlers of the world to do as they wish. The reason our founds made sure our constitution states, WE, the citizen, CAN OWN WEAPONS. Gun control... just a step in their removal.

Loved every word . My husband is gone every night we live in the country I don't sleep good at night even with 2 BIG dogs I keep my 410 out and shells on the dresser

I moved to Arizona from New Mexico in October of 2000.I have 2 grown sons. The oldest lives in Mesa and the youngest lives in Apache Junction.All of us have a myspace account as do my brother, sister, nieces, nephews from New Mexico. Computers are a great way to stay in touch. I believe in God, family and country.
