These are two of my favorite songs. I try not to play this one when my daughter is around, though. Her sweetie is in the Army and will be shipping out soon, that's hard enough. Not that I think she doesn't hear it, I'm sure she does, but I don't want her to have to think about it anymore than she has to, ya know?

I am dreading when she gets out of school, she also plans to join the military. I won't even think of trying to talk her out of it, I'm proud of her decision, but she's my baby and I doubt the war will be over.

WW you'd have to have a heart of stone to remain dry-eyed during this. My daughter also just informed me last week that she is planning on enlisting. I am proud of her too but have such conflicting feelings about it. I know just how you feel.

Yes, I always say I have no feelings, and normally that's true. But, I tear up every time I hear this song. I think of all the moms, dads, brother, sisters, etc. that have loved ones in danger. My heart goes out to them and the ones who have lost their loved ones. No matter what people think of the war, we must remember that there are real people fighting and dying and they have families and friends that love them and miss them. God bless the soldiers and any who love them. Thank you all for your sacrifices.

Never forget them.
I am truly honored to be represented by our military,past and present.To me each and everyone of them are Hero's, and have my utmost respect.
