Well, wouldn't you know it, or would You? Tonight I heard Dale Hanson give an excellent commentary concerning the upcoming 2008 Olympics in Beijing and the great sportsmanship that the NBA teams both East and West bring at such an event. Apparently Mark Cuban thinks differently and I think this is an all too familiar story concerning a very wealthy business owner who is in a class all by himself, a selfish class. He needs to wake up and understand the game of basketball and ownership is not about how strongly you feel now that you have a little tenure within the ring of basketball team ownership. Do you hear other team owners kicking up sand like his guy? No. Cuban needs to just let some things go, now he's fussing about players going to contribute their professional time and talent to represent something far greater than his own little hot hands can control.
Did you see the clips of Kobe and LaBron James and several others contributing, getting along like true professionals for a common cause? Sure, how awesome! But guess who's poking their lip out about the USA team collaboration? Nobody but Cuban. How Selfish, how so very immature, how so very childish Cuban. Apparently he has no idea when to shut up.
This is a sad day for the olympics, but you know what...the olympics has been going on before Cuban even had a thought about trying to do something in the team spirit and it will continue to go on for a lifetime. Tell you what Cuban, you stay at home and pout, but stay out of the way of true teams and team members and let them go and represent our wonderful country while you choose not to.
